The Cumulative CAMAG Bibliography Service CCBS contains all abstracts of CBS issues beginning with CBS 51. The database is updated after the publication of every other CBS edition. Currently the Cumulative CAMAG Bibliography Service includes more than 11'000 abstracts of publications between 1983 and today. TLC on silica gel by twice developing with benzene - ethanol 2:1 for the first and benzene - ethanol 4:1 for the second. Detection by 1) by spraying with 3% phosphomolybdic acid - H2SO4 solution and heating at 105°C. Identification by finger print technique. Discussion of the advantages of the improved procedure in the quality control of the medicine.

Quantification of ligustilide by densitometry at 290 nm. Validation of the method by investigation of its precision (RSD 2.4 % n=5 within plate and 3.0 % n=5 plate-to-plate), reproducibility (2.5 % n=6 within three hours), and recovery (96.7 %, RSD 2.2 % n=5).

TLC of Huanglong Ganzhixiao granule extracts on silica gel with 1) chloroform - butanone - methanol - formic acid - water 22:20:11:2:2; 2) chloroform - methanol - water 13:7:2; 3) chloroform - methanol 99:1; 4) petroleum ether (60 - 90 ºC) - ethyl acetate 5:1. Detection 1) by spraying with 10 % AlCl3 in ethanol and under UV 365 nm; 2) by spraying with 10 % H2SO4 in ethanol followed by heating at 105 ºC, and under UV 365 nm; 3) by spraying with 10 % phosphomolybdic acid in ethanol followed by heating at 105 ºC. Identification by fingerprint technique. Quantification of loureirin B by HPLC. Discussion of procedure optimization for individual component drug and of using the procedures in the quality control of the medicine.

Detection 1) by spraying with 5 % phosphomolybdic acid in ethanol; 2) by spraying with vanillin - conc. H2SO4 solution. Identification of volatile oil by fingerprint technique. Determination of total lignan content by spectrophotometry. Analysis of the processing principle by comparison of the contents of the volatile oil and lignans in the extracts obtained by using different processing procedures, and discussing of the optimal processing procedures.

Detection 1) by spraying with diazotized para-nitroaniline solution; 2) by spraying with 5 % AlCl3 in ethanol and under UV 365 nm. Identification by fingerprint technique. Quantification of hesperidin by HPLC.
Talanta 61 (5), 581-589 (2003). TLC of clopidogrel bisulphate on silica gel with carbon tetrachloride - chloroform - acetone 12:8:3. Rf value of clopidogrel bisulphate was 0.30. Clopidogrel bisulphate was subjected to acid and alkali hydrolysis, oxidation, photodegradation and dry heat treatment. The drug was susceptible to acid - base hydrolysis, oxidation and dry heat degradation. Also the degraded products were well separated from the pure drug with significantly different Rf values. Quantitative determination by absorbance measurement at 230 nm. The linear regression data for the calibration plots showed good linear relationship with r2=0.999 in the concentration range of 200-1000 ng. The mean value of correlation coefficient, slope and intercept were 0.999±0.001, 0.093±0.011 and 8.83±0.99, respectively. The method was validated for precision, accuracy, ruggedness and recovery. The limits of detection and quantitation were 40 and 120 ng per spot, respectively.
