The Cumulative CAMAG Bibliography Service CCBS contains all abstracts of CBS issues beginning with CBS 51. The database is updated after the publication of every other CBS edition. Currently the Cumulative CAMAG Bibliography Service includes more than 11'000 abstracts of publications between 1983 and today. With the online version you can perform your own detailed TLC/HPTLC literature search:

Quantitation by densitometry at 230 nm for grapholide and at 263 nm for andrographolide. Discussion of use of the procedure in the quality control of the medicine.

Detection 1) by spraying with 0.5% potassium permanganate in acetone, 2) under UV 365 nm. Identification by finger print technique.

J. Chinese Trad. & Herb. Drugs (Zhongcaoyao) 33 (6), 518-520 (2002). TLC on silica gel with benzene - ethyl acetate - methanol - isopropanol - NH3 12:6:3:3:1. Detection under UV 365 nm. Quantification by fluoro densitometry at 365 nm.

TLC of emodin and chrysophenol on silica gel with 1) hexane - ethyl acetate - formic acid 60:20:1; 2) chloroform - ethyl acetate - ether - methanol - formic acid - water 12:12:13:5:5:3; 3) chloroform - methanol 4:1. Detection 1) under UV 365 nm; 2) by spraying with 1% FeCl3 in ethanol; 3) by spraying with vanillin - methanol - H2SO4 1:40:2, and heating at 105°C for 5 min. Identification by fingerprint technique.

TLC on silica gel with 1) chloroform - ethyl acetate - methanol - water 3:8:4:2, 2) butanol - acetic acid-water 7:1:2, 3) toluene - ethyl acetate 9:1. Detection by 1) by spraying with 10% H2SO4 in ethanol and heating at 105°C, 2) under UV 365 nm, 3) by spaying with 10% phosphomolybdic acid in ethanol and heating at 105°C. Identification of ginsenosides Re, Rg1, berberine hydrochloride, Wuweizi ester by finger print technique.

Identification by comparison with the standards. Quantitation by densitometry at 300 nm. Validation of the procedure by investigation of its precision, specificity, repeatability, reproducibility, recovery, etc.

Detection 1) under UV 365 nm. 2) by spraying with 5 % potassium iodobismuthate solution. Identification by fingerprint techniques. Quantification of baicalin by HPLC.
