The Cumulative CAMAG Bibliography Service CCBS contains all abstracts of CBS issues beginning with CBS 51. The database is updated after the publication of every other CBS edition. Currently the Cumulative CAMAG Bibliography Service includes more than 11'000 abstracts of publications between 1983 and today. With the online version you can perform your own detailed TLC/HPTLC literature search:

J. Chinese Trad. Patent Med. (Zhongchengyao) 25, 30-35 (2003). TLC on silica gel with 1) ethyl acetate - ethanol - water 8:2:1, 2) petroleum ether (60-90°C) - ethyl acetate 9:1, 3) chloroform-methanol 5:1, 4) ethyl acetate. Detection 1) under UV 365 nm and 254 nm, 2) by spraying with 1% FeCl3 in ethanol. Identification by fingerprint technique.
J. Chinese Trad. Patent Med., (Zhongchengyao) 25(4), 340-341 (2003). TLC on silica gel with 1) chloroform - ethyl acetate - methanol 9:1:2 with traces of formic acid, 2) benzene - ethyl acetate 9:1, 3) butanol - acetic acid - water 7:1:2. Detection by 1) by spaying with 5% vanillin in H2SO4 solution in ethanol and heating, 2) under day light, 3) under UV 365 nm. Identification by finger print technique. Discussion of using the procedures as the simple method for the quality control of the medicine.
J. Chinese Trad. Patent Med. (Zhongchengyao) 26 (2), 172-173 (2004). TLC on silica gel with 1) benzene - acetone - ethyl acetate - conc. ammonia 10:15:20:2. Detection by spraying with 5 % potassium iodobismuthate solution. Identification by comparison with the standard. Quantification by densitometry at 524 nm. The procedure is validated by investigation of its repeatability, reproducibility, and recovery. Discussion of the merits of the procedure compared to that in China Pharmacopeia (2000 ed).
J. Chinese Trad. Patent Med. (Zhongchengyao) 10, 807-809 (2004). TLC on silica gel plates with 1) chloroform - methanol - water 13:7:2, 2) chloroform - acetone - formic acid 25:10:4. Detection 1) by spraying with 10 % H2SO4 in ethanol and heating at 105 ºC, 2) by ammonia vapor and under UV 365 nm. Identification by fingerprint techniques. Quantitative determination of salidroside by HPLC.

TLC of Qufeng medicinal wine on silica gel with 1) n-hexane - ethyl acetate 9:1; 2) ethyl acetate - methanol - water 100:17:13; 3) toluene - ethyl acetate - formic acid - water 20:10:1:1; 4) chloroform - methanol - water 40:10:1; 5) n-hexane - ethyl acetate - chloroform - glacial acetic acid 50:15:5:1. Detection 1) under UV 365 nm; 2) by spraying with 1 % AlCl3 in methanol and under UV 365 nm; 3) by spraying with 5 % H2SO4 in ethanol and heating at 105 ºC; 4) by exposing to ammonia vapor. Identification by fingerprint technique. Quantification of emodin by densitometry at 460 nm. Validation of the method by investigation of its linearity range (0.133-1.330 µg/spot, r=0.9999), precision (RSD=1.44 %, n=6), recovery (99.24 %, RSD=0.74 %, n=12).

Detection by spraying with 5 % potassium iodobismuthate. Identification by fingerprint technique. Quantification by densitometry at 510 nm. Validation of the method by investigation of its linearity range (10-50 µg/spot, r=0.9999), precision (RSD=2.1 %, n=6), standard addition recovery (100.7 %, RSD=3.8 %, n= 5).

HPTLC on silica gel with 1) toluene - acetone - ethanol - ammonia 20:25:3:2; 2) n-hexane - ethyl acetate - glacial acetic acid 15:5:1; 3) n-hexane - ethyl acetate - ammonia 20:20:1. Detection 1) by spraying with 5 % potassium iodobismuthate solution; 2) by spraying with 1 % potassium permanganate in diluted sulfuric acid followed by heating at 120 ºC, and under UV 360 nm. Identification by fingerprint technique. Determination of the content of aconitine by comparison with standard.
