The Cumulative CAMAG Bibliography Service CCBS contains all abstracts of CBS issues beginning with CBS 51. The database is updated after the publication of every other CBS edition. Currently the Cumulative CAMAG Bibliography Service includes more than 11'000 abstracts of publications between 1983 and today. With the online version you can perform your own detailed TLC/HPTLC literature search:

TLC of complex triterpenoid saponin mixtures on silica with chloroform - methanol - formic acid - water 15:9:1:2 and ethyl acetate - methanol -water 8:1:0.1, on RP-8 with 60 % methanol and on Avicel with the upper layer of butanol -pyridine -. water 6:2:3. Detection with 5 % sulfuric acid - methanol. Also PLC and column chromatography. Solvent systems suitable for very polar saponins.
J.Chinese Herb Med. 7, 275-279 (1987) (Zhongcaoyao). TLC of tectoridin, tectorigenin and irigenin on silica with chloroform - methanol - formic acid 8:2:0.1, chloroform - acetic acid 10:0.2. Quantification by densitometry at 271 nm. RSD 2.09 ± 0.92%.
(Analysis of some main ingredients of the „Sao vang“ ointment by means of quantitative TLC and GC.) Pharmazie 42, 58 (1987). TLC of menthol and camphor on silica with benzene - ethyl acetate 85:15. Detection by spraying with anisaldehyde reagent. Quantification after elution with methanol.
Chromatographia 25, 111-116 (1988). HPTLC of a number of coumarins, furocoumarins and pyranocoumarins on silica with binary and ternary solvents containing a polar modifier and a non-polar or weakly polar diluent. Discussion of the relationship between RM values and the log of the concentration of the polar modifier, and of the influence of the modifier and individual substituents in the solute molecule on retention. Also HPLC.

Chinese J. Chromatogr. (Sepu) 7, 54-56 (1989). TLC on silica with chloroform - methanol 19:2. Quantification by densitometry at 265 nm. Detection limit 10 ng. RSD 2, 0 - 4. 5%. The calibration curve was found linear over the range of 2 - 10 ng. Recovery >93. 4%.
Chinese J. Chromatogr. 7, 114-116 (1989). TLC of steroid substrate, Reichstein’s S(RS), and its 11+-hydroxylated product, epicortisol, on silica with a) dichloromethane - acetone - methanol 40:10:1, b) acetone - chloroform - methanol 50:50:1, c) dichloromethane - acetone 4:1. Detection under UV 254 nm or by spraying with vanillin - sulfuric acid reagent. Quantification by densitometry at 254 nm.
