The Cumulative CAMAG Bibliography Service CCBS contains all abstracts of CBS issues beginning with CBS 51. The database is updated after the publication of every other CBS edition. Currently the Cumulative CAMAG Bibliography Service includes more than 11'000 abstracts of publications between 1983 and today. With the online version you can perform your own detailed TLC/HPTLC literature search:

TLC of five anthraquinone aglycones with the upper layer of petrol ether - hexane - ethyl formate - formic acid - benzene - methanol - water 20:60:50:3:60:4:10, of rhaponticin with isopropyl ether - methanol - butanol 6:1:1 and of sennosides with propanol - ethyl acetate - water 4:4:3. Detection and quantification by densitometry under UV.
Biochemical Systematics and Ecology 25, 335-341 (1997). TLC of rhododendool on silica with benzene - ethyl acetate 11:9. Visualization by spraying with diazotized benzidine.
Chinese J. Pharm. Anal. (Yaowu Fenxi Zazhi) 18, 123-124 (1998). TLC on silica gel with chloroform - methanol - water 18:8:1. Detection by spraying with 10% sulfuric acid in ethanol and heating at 105°C for 5 min, and under UV 254 nm. Quantitation by densitometry at 340 nm. Precision within plate 0.5% (n=5), plate-to-plate 2.1% (n=5). Recovery >94.3 ± 3.1% (n=3).
J. Planar Chromatogr. 11, 404-410 (1998). Quality control of the gum resins of Boswellia catari and Boswellia serrata was performed on HPTLC-lichrospher(r) Si 60 with n-heptane - ether - acetic acid 70:30:3. Derivatization with vanillin-sulfuric-acid reagent. The fingerprints were documented by single-lens reflex camera, video camera and densitometer.
Chromatographia 49, 256-260 (1999). TLC on silica gel, propylamine, diol layers by stepwise multiple development with mixtures of hexane - MEK, and on RP-18 with an isocratic mobile phase. Identification of 14 out of 25 separated compounds by using a standard mixture.
J. Chinese Trad. Patent Med. (Zhongchengyao) 22 (5), 331-332 (2000). TLC of rhynchophylline on silica gel with toluene - acetone - ethanol - conc. NH3 20:25:5:3. Detection by spraying with diluted potassium iodobismuthate - 1% FeCl3 in ethanol 2:1. Quantitation by densitometry. Investigation of the influence of different extraction conditions on the active components extracted, which was optimized to be 70% ethanol.
J. Planar Chromatogr. 13, 221-225 (2000). 2D HPTLC of morphine and structurally related opiates (codeine, dihydrocodeine, hydrocodone, hydromorphone) on silica gel with ethyl acetate - methanol - NH3 17:2:1, methanol - NH3 99:1, toluene - diethylamine - methanol - ethyl acetate 60:10:10:1, ethyl acetate - methanol - NH3 17:2:1, and acetone - water - NH3 20:20:1. Visualization with Dragendorff's and Marquis reagent, fast blue B and fast black K, and for morphine as dansyl derivative. The combination of 2D-HPTLC with sensitive and/or specific detection proved a suitable and reliable method for the detection of low concentrations of opiates in urine. The detection limit was 20-100 times lower than for TLC, depending on the opiate.
J. Planar Chromatogr. 13, 463-467 (2000). TLC on silica gel with ethyl acetate - formic acid 24:1 at 60% relative humidity in a presaturated TLC chamber. Detection under UV 254 nm. Densitometry at 250 nm. The precision of the TLC method was determined. Simple, new method.
