The Cumulative CAMAG Bibliography Service CCBS contains all abstracts of CBS issues beginning with CBS 51. The database is updated after the publication of every other CBS edition.       A new validated HPTLC method for the quantitative estimation of atorvastatin calcium and amlodipine besylate in tablets

      59th Indian Pharmaceutical congress F-154, 426, 2007. HPTLC of atorvastatin calcium and amlodipine besylate on silica gel with ethyl acetate - 1,4-dioxane - methanol - ammonia 10:1:2:1. Quantitative evaluation by densitometry at 254 nm. The hRf value was 35 and 56 for atorvastatin and amlodipine, respectively. Linearity was between 200 and 1000 ng/zone for atorvastatin and 400 and 2000 ng/zone for amlodipine. Recovery was 99.8 - 100.9 % for both compounds. The method was found suitable for routine quality control of formulations containing both drugs in combined formulations.
