Cumulative CAMAG Bibliography Service CCBS
Our CCBS database includes more than 11,000 abstracts of publications. Perform your own detailed search of TLC/HPTLC literature and find relevant information.
The Cumulative CAMAG Bibliography Service CCBS contains all abstracts of CBS issues beginning with CBS 51. The database is updated after the publication of every other CBS edition. Currently the Cumulative CAMAG Bibliography Service includes more than 11'000 abstracts of publications between 1983 and today. With the online version you can perform your own detailed TLC/HPTLC literature search:
- Full text search: Enter a keyword, e.g. an author's name, a substance, a technique, a reagent or a term and see all related publications
- Browse and search by CBS classification: Select one of the 38 CBS classification categories where you want to search by a keyword
- Keyword register: select an initial character and browse associated keywords
- Search by CBS edition: Select a CBS edition and find all related publications
Registered users can create a tailor made PDF of selected articles throughout CCBS search – simply use the cart icon on the right hand of each abstract to create your individual selection of abstracts. You can export your saved items to PDF by clicking the download icon.
J. of China Pharm. 23 (8), 26-28 (2014). Compound Pipajiegeng ointment is a herbal TCM preparation for chronic cough, upper respiratory tract inflammation, and bronchitis. For quality control, TLC (1) of Eriobotrya japonica Thunb., on silica gel with chloroform – ethyl acetate – methanol – water 16:38:22:9, detection by spraying with 5 % phosphomolybdic acid in ethanol and heating at 105 °C until the zones are visible; (2) of Pericarpium Papaveris, on 2 % NaOH-containing silica gel with toluene – acetone – ethanol - ammonium hydroxide 20:19:3:1, detection by spraying with 5 % potassium iodobismuthate solution and viewing in daylight; (3) of Platycodon grandiflorus (Jacq.) A. DC., on 0.3 % NaOH-containing silica gel with cyclohexane – chloroform – methanol 15:11:1, detection by spraying with 25 % phosphomolybdic acid in ethanol and heating at 105 °C until the zones are visible; (4) of menthol, on silica gel with n-hexane – ethyl acetate 9:2, detection by spraying with 5 % vanillin in sulfuric acid – ethanol 4:1 and heating until the zones are visible. Quantification of morphine by HPLC.
J. of Modern Trad. Chinese Med. 16 (2), 144-150 (2014). Shushenling Jiaonang capsule is a herbal TCM for the treatment of neurasthenia, neurosis, menopausal syndrome, etc. For quality control, TLC (1) for Salvia miltiorrhiza, on silica gel with toluene – ethyl acetate 19:1, detection under white light; (2) Schisandra chinensis, on silica gel with petroleum ether (30-60 ºC) – ethyl formate – formic acid 15:5:1, detection under UV 254 nm; (3) for Glycyrrhiza uralensis, on silica gel with toluene – ethyl acetate – methanol 7:3:1, detection by spraying with 10 % sulfuric acid in ethanol and heating at 105 ºC until the zones are clearly visualized, evaluation under white light; (4) Panax ginseng, on silica gel with chloroform – methanol – water 13:7:2, detection by spraying with 10 % sulfuric acid in ethanol and heating at 105 ºC until the zones are clearly visualized, evaluation under white light.
Planta Med. 83(03/04), 334-340 (2017). Preparative layer chromatography on silica gel was used to isolate, from flash column subfractions of ethyl acetate extracts of Lepisanthes senegalensis stem or roots: a) with chloroform – ethyl acetate 3:37 an acetyl-caffeoylbutelin from stem; b) with hexane – ethyl acetate 4:1 two coumaroyl-22-hydroxy-hopanes from root; c) with dichloromethane – ethyl acetate 19:1 a caffeoyl-lupeol from root.
J. Chromatogr. A 1524, 266-272 (2017). Demonstration of the antibacterial profiling of Onopordum acanthium L. leaf extract and subsequent targeted identification of active compounds. Investigation of the extract against eight bacterial strains including two plant and three human pathogens and a soil, a marine and a probiotic human gut bacteria by TLC and off-line overpressured layer chromatography (OPLC) coupled with direct bioautography. Transfer of antibacterial fractions obtaining infusion-transfusion OPLC to HPLC-MS/MS analysis resulted in the characterization of three active compounds, two of them were identified as linoleic and linolenic acid. Adoption of OPLC method to preparative-scale flash chromatography for the isolation of the third active compound, which was identified after a further semi-preparative HPLC purification as the germacranolide, sesquiterpene lactone onopordopicrin. Pure onopordopicrin exhibited antibacterial activity that was specified as minimal inhibitory concentration in the liquid phase as well.
J. Chromatogr. 312, 357-385 (1984). Two-dimensional TLC of dansylated basic nitrogen fractions (BNF) on silica with cyclohexane - ethyl acetate 2:3 and with benzene - triethylamine 5:1. Detection by UV 366 nm. Dansylation of the plant amines was carried out prior to TLC with DNS chloride in acetone (5 mg/ml) in the presence of excess solid NaHCO3. Standards for comparison were separated with chloroform - butylacetate 8:3 and with cyclohexane - benzene - methanol 2:7:1. Rf values of more than 80 plant amines are reported.
Pharm. Anal. (Yaowu Fenxi Zazhi) 5, 18-20 (1985). (Chinese) (TLC-UV spectrophotometric determination of paeoniflorin in Chinese paeonia medicinal herbs and Ming Mu Xiao Yao San preparations.) TLC of paeoniflorin on silica. The spot was eluted with ethanol. Determination by spectrophotometry at 234 nm. Approx. 100 % recovery.
Detection by spraying with 10 % sulfuric acid. Quantification by densitometry at 460 nm.
Helv. Chim. Acta 69, 2038-2047 (1986). TLC of triterpene glycosides on silica with chloroform - methanol - water 58:35:7 and 70:30:3. Also HPTLC on RP-8 with methanol - water 6:4. Detection with Godins reagent. Bayogenin derivatives shoved a blue color, whereas those of oleanolic acid were purple.
