The Cumulative CAMAG Bibliography Service CCBS contains all abstracts of CBS issues beginning with CBS 51. The database is updated after the publication of every other CBS edition. Currently the Cumulative CAMAG Bibliography Service includes more than 11'000 abstracts of publications between 1983 and today. With the online version you can perform your own detailed TLC/HPTLC literature search:

TLC on silica gel with ethanol - acetic acid 2:1 as the sample dissolving solvent and methanol - chloroform - petroleum ether (30-60°C) - ethyl acetate 2:2:1:4. Detection by spraying with p-dimethyl amino benzaldehyde - acetic acid - 35% phosphoric acid - water (0.25g:50g:5g:20 mL). Quantitation by spectrophotometry after elution. Identification by comparison of Rf and color with the standard.

Analytical and preparative TLC separations of methanolic extracts of yew and baccatin II, cephalomannine, 10-DAB-III (10-deacetylbaccatin III)and paclitaxel on silica gel and silanized silica gel with mixtures of dichloromethane - dioxane - acetone - methanol for silica gel and methanol - water 7:3 for silanized silica gel. Densitometry at 366, 254 and 230 nm.
J. Chinese Trad. & Herb. Drugs (Zhongcaoyao) 32 (2), 167-169 (2001). TLC on silica gel with chloroform - petroleum ether (60-90°C) - ethyl acetate 5:1:1. Detection under UV 365 nm.
J. Planar Chromatogr. 14, 175-177 (2001). HPTLC of caffeic acid (before and after acid hydrolysis) on silica gel with a mixture of toluene, hexane, ethyl acetate, and methanol as mobile phases. Development 'face down' in a horizontal chamber; visualization under UV 254 and 366 nm. Quantitative determinations by videodensitometry.
J. Chinese Trad. Patent Med. (Zhongchengyao), 24 (5), 380-398 (2002). TLC on silica gel with benzene - methanol 27:1. Detection by spraying with 10% vanillin-sulfuric acid reagent and heating at 105°C for 10 min. Identification by finger print technique.
Planta med. 66, 189-191 (2000). Preparative TLC of 6b-hydroxy-8b-methoxy-eremophil-7(11)-en-12,8a-olide, 8b-hydroxy-eremophil-7(11)-en-12,8a-olide, 6a-methoxy-8b-hydroxy-eremophil-7(11)-en-12,8a -olide, ligufischerin, 6b-hydroxy-eremophil-7(11)-en-12,8b-olide, 6-oxo-8b-hydroxy-eremophil-7(11)-en-12,8a-olide on silica gel with chloroform - acetone 20:1; 3 x, and petroleum ether - ethyl acetate 5:1. Detection under UV or by spraying with 5% sulfuric acid in ethanol followed by heating.

Two-dimensional TLC of phenolic acids (protocatechuic, chlorogenic, gentisic, p-hydroxy-benzoic, vanillic, caffeic, syringic, cis- and trans-p-coumaric, cis- and trans-ferulic acid) on cellulose with toluene - methanol - acetic acid - acetonitrile 151:20:10:15 in the first direction and disodium formate - formic acid - water 10:1:200 in the second direction, in a horizontal chamber, preconditioned for 10 min in the vapor of the conditioning mixture toluene - methanol - acetic acid 94:1:5. Detection under UV 366 nm, before and after treatment with ammonia vapor. Visualization by spraying with a 3% methanolic solution of iron(III) chloride or diazotized sulfanilic acid in 20% sodium carbonate solution.
Proc. Intern. Symp. on Planar Separations Plan. Chrom. 285-289 (2003). One-dimensional TLC of 8 quinolizidine alkaloids (sparteine, a-isosparteine, retamine, hydroxylupanine, cytisine, methylcytisine, sophocarpine, lupanine) on silica gel with hexane - diethyl amine 100:0 to 1:1, on silica gel and DIOL with chloroform - methanol - NH3 100:0:1, 95:5:1 to 85:15:1, and on DIOL and RP-18 with acetonitrile - water - hydrochloric acid 30:100:5, 30:100:10, 30:100:15 and 30:100:20.. 2D-TLC on DIOL with chloroform - methanol - NH3 85:15:1 (I) in the first direction and after drying at room temperature with acetonitrile - water - hydrochloric acid 30:100:7 (II) in the second direction. In adsorbent TLC - diol plates were used in the first direction with mobile phase I. Then the alkaloids were transferred by a specially designed device on the second RP-18 plate with the mobile phase II. The same phase was then used for the second development in the perpendicular direction. Visualization by spraying with Dragendorff reagent and documentation by photography.
