The Cumulative CAMAG Bibliography Service CCBS contains all abstracts of CBS issues beginning with CBS 51. The database is updated after the publication of every other CBS edition. Currently the Cumulative CAMAG Bibliography Service includes more than 11'000 abstracts of publications between 1983 and today. With the online version you can perform your own detailed TLC/HPTLC literature search:

Planta Medica 83(03/04), 300-305 (2017). Preparative TLC on 1) RP-18 phase with methanol – water, in several proportions from 2:1 to 9:11 and on 2) silica gel with dichloromethane – ethyl acetate, from 5:1 to 10:3 was applied to purify eight phenylethylchromones from subfractions of a methanolic extract of Aquilaria filaria agarwood. Preparative TLC on silica gel with n-hexane – ethyl acetate 2:1 was also used to separate the products of one of these chromones (2-(2-hydroxy-2-phenylethyl)-4H-chromen-4-one) with the (S)- and (R)-MTPA-Cl (α-methoxy-α-trifluoromethyl-phenylacetyl-chloride) needed for the Mosher ester method for asymmetric carbon configuration, allowing, after NMR, the determination of the chromone as an uneven mixture of R- and S-enantiomers (4:1). The enantiomer separation was done after derivatisation into diastereoisomers (no chiral separation).

HPTLC of apigenin(1), luteolin (2), kaempferol (3), quercetin (4), kaempferol‐3‐O‐glucoside (5), quercetin‐3‐O‐glucoside (6), isorhamnetin‐3‐O‐neohesperidoside (7) and rutin (8) in the fruits and aerial parts of Foeniculum vulgare (fennel), Pimpinella anisum (anise), Carum carvi (caraway), Cuminum cyminum (cumin), Coriandrum sativum (coriander), Apium graveolens (celery), Petroselinum crispum (parsley), and Anethum graveolens (dill) on silica gel with ethyl acetate – methanol – water – acetic acid 3:1:1:1. Quantitative determination by absorbance measurement at 254 nm. Heat maps and hierarchical clustering were performed for image processing. The hRF values for (1) to (8) were 97, 90, 83, 73, 30, 17, 7 and 2, respectively. LOD and LOQ were 54 and 166 ng/zone for (1), 52 and 157 ng/zone for (2), 58 and 177 ng/zone for (3), 37 and 112 ng/zone for (4), 57 and 172 ng/zone for (5), 54 and 164 ng/zone for (6), 55 and 169 ng/zone for (7) and 58 and 178 ng/zone for (8), respectively. The intermediate precision was <2 % (n=6). Average recovery was 98.4 % for (1), 92.3 % for (2), 95.3 % for (3), 96.8 % for (4), 94.5 % for (5), 95.6 % for (6), 95.1 % for (7) and 97.3 % for (8).

Phytochemistry 28, 3003-3007 (1989). TLC of isofraxidin and scopoletin on silica with ethyl acetate - chloroform 1:3 diethyl ether - chloroform 1:2 and methanol - chloroform 3:17.
Phytochemistry 30, 3625- 3629 (1991). TLC of polyhydroxylated xanthones and their glycosides on silica with ethyl acetate - petrol ether 1:1 cont. 0.05% TFA and with chloroform - methanol 7:3; and HPTLC on RP-8 with methanol - water 9:1 and on RP-18 with methanol - water 3:2. Detection by spraying with 5% KOH in methanol. Also column chromatography and medium pressure liquid chromatography.
J. Planar Chromatogr. 7, 58-62 (1994). TLC of e.g. plant extracts (containing umbelliprenin, imperatorin, bergapten, phellopterin pimpinellin, isopimpinellin, umbelliferone, isobergapten, xanthotoxol) on silica (with preconcentration zone) with diisopropylether - dichloromethane (of increasing eluent strength, with and without different modifiers). Application of isocratic, gradient, and multiple development, as well as simultaneous development using different eluents under different conditions.
Phytochemistry 42, 185-188 (1996). TLC of phloroglucinols on silica with chloroform and with the upper layer of hexane - ethyl acetate - methanol - water 10:5:5:1. Also HPTLC on RP-18 with acetonitrile. Detection under UV. HPTLC on RP-18 just by using acetonitrile provided excellent separation of closely related phenolic compounds.

TLC of Quercus Cortex extracts and chlorogenic acid, caffeic acid, p-cumaric acid, ellagic acid, (-)-epicatechin, (+)-catechin, quercetin, quercitrin, rutin, protocatechu acid, quinic acid, synapic acid on silica gel with ethyl acetate - formic acid - water 17:2:3.
