The Cumulative CAMAG Bibliography Service CCBS contains all abstracts of CBS issues beginning with CBS 51. The database is updated after the publication of every other CBS edition. Currently the Cumulative CAMAG Bibliography Service includes more than 11'000 abstracts of publications between 1983 and today.       Densitometric determination of flavonoids after derivatization

The influence of derivatization technique, plate drying, reagent concentration, and selected detector parameters on the densitometric determination of flavonoids was investigated using the two main flavonoid glucoronides from Malva silvestris leaves as an example. Postchromatographic derivatization by dipping successively in 0.5 % NST (2-aminoethyl diphenylborinate) in ethyl acetate and 5 % polyethylene glycol in dichloromethane. The method is also appropriate for the quantitative determination of flavonoids.

Detection by dipping in a methanolic solution containing 1% ethanolamine diphenyl borate and 5% polyethylene glycol 4000, and under UV 365 nm. TLC of biflavonoids on silica with benzene - pyridine - formic acid 100:20:7. Detection by spraying with 1% ethanolic AlCl3 and under UV 366 nm. Two-dimensional TLC of glycoside residues on silica with ethyl acetate - water - formic acid 6:1:1 and by spraying with 5M HCl in water - methanol 1:1 and heating at 110 °C for 40 min. for the 1st direction, and for the 2nd direction with ethylene diammonium sulfate in acetone - water 1:1. Quantification by fluorodensitometry at 365 nm.
