The Cumulative CAMAG Bibliography Service CCBS contains all abstracts of CBS issues beginning with CBS 51. The database is updated after the publication of every other CBS edition. Currently the Cumulative CAMAG Bibliography Service includes more than 11'000 abstracts of publications between 1983 and today. With the online version you can perform your own detailed TLC/HPTLC literature search:

J. Chin. Herb. Med. (Zhongcaoyao) 24, 469-470 (1993). TLC of saponins on silica with chloroform - methanol - water 65:35:10. Detection by spraying with 10% sulfuric acid in chloroform. Evaluation of the purity of saponin extracts.
Chinese J. Herb Med. (Zhongcaoyao) 25, 412 (1994). TLC of ginsenoside Rg1 on silica with chloroform - ethyl acetate - methanol - water 20:40:22:10. Detection by spraying with 10% sulfuric acid in ethanol and heating at 110 °C for 15 min. Quantification by densitometry at 540 nm.
Phytochemistry 42, 513-522 (1996). TLC of forty different bufadienolides on silica with chloroform - methanol - water 140:44:7, ethyl acetate - methanol - water 81:11:8 or MEK- toluene - water - methanol - acetic acid 80:10:6:5:2. Also HPTLC on RP-2 with methanol - water 1:1. Detection with 50 % ethanolic sulfuric acid at 105 °C.
Phytochemistry 45, 811-817 (1997). TLC of furostanol saponins on silica with chloroform - methanol - water 50:10:1 and 20:10:1. Also HPTLC on RP-18 with acetonitrile - water 4:1. Detection with Ehrlich's reagent or with 10% sulfuric acid, followed by heating. TLC of the aglycones on silica with dichloromethane - methanol 50:1 and of the sugars with dichloromethane - methanol - water 15:6:1. Excellent TLC systems for both glycosides and aglycones of the furostanol saponin series.
J. Agric. Food Chem. 48, 60-64 (2000). TLC of oleandrin, digitoxin, gitoxin, gitoxigenin and grayanotoxins I, II, and III (spotted at different locations) on silica gel. Development in the first direction with 25% dichloromethane in ethyl acetate, after drying development with ethyl acetate - toluene - acetic acid 6:3:1; development in the second direction with methanol, drying and development with dichloromethane - acetonitrile - ethanol - NH3 90:20:10:1. Detection by spraying with 20% AlCl3- solution and heating for 5 min at 110°C. After the spots were recorded the plate was sprayed with chloramine T solution and heated for 5 min at 110°C.
Planta med. 66, 382-391 (2000). TLC of a new flavonolglycoside, myricetin 3-O-(2"-O-p-hydroxybenzoyl)-?-rhamnopyranoside, on silica gel with benzene - ethyl formate - formic acid 5:4:1. Detection by spraying with iron(III)chloride reagent or by spraying with 10% sulfuric acid followed by heating.

Quick and simple procedure TLC of lanatoside A, B, C, desacetyllanatoside A, 14a,15a-epoxy-"b"-anhydrodesacetyl-lanatoside on silica gel with chloroform - methanol - water 32:8:1 and on RP-18 with acetonitrile - 0.5 M sodium chloride 10:13. Detecion by spraying with concentrated sulfuric acid, and heating at 120°C for 10 min.
