The Cumulative CAMAG Bibliography Service CCBS contains all abstracts of CBS issues beginning with CBS 51. The database is updated after the publication of every other CBS edition. Currently the Cumulative CAMAG Bibliography Service includes more than 11'000 abstracts of publications between 1983 and today. With the online version you can perform your own detailed TLC/HPTLC literature search:

TLC of ginsenosides on silica with chloroform - ethyl acetate - methanol - water 15:40:22:10. Detection by spraying with 10% sulfuric acid in ethanol and heating at 110 °C for 5 min. and inspection under UV 365 nm. Identification by comparison with the standards.
Phytochemistry 42, 809-814 (1996). TLC of various bayogenin glycosides on silica with chloroform - methanol - water 7:3:1 (bottom layer) or with ethyl acetate - methanol - water 8:2:1. Also HPTLC on RP-18 with 25 % acetonitrile. Detection with 10 % sulfuric acid.
Planta Med. 63, 125-129 (1997). TLC of triterpene saponins on silica with chloroform - methanol - formic acid 5:4:1. Detection with anisaldehyde/H2SO4 reagent. Isolation of hederacoside C by prep. TLC on silica with chloroform - methanol - acetic acid -water 15:8:3:2.
J. Planar Chromatogr. 13, 9-11 (2000). Separation of a saponin mixture by two-dimensional TLC; the first development was performed on an RP-18w HPTLC plate and that in the perpendicular direction on a silica HPTLC plate resulting in a separation into 18 components compared to 9 components using conventional TLC. HPTLC of a saponin mixture on RP-18 with 1.0% aqueous formic acid - methanol 3:7 in the first direction and on silica gel with chloroform - methanol - formic acid - water 10:4:1:1 in the second direction. Visualization by spraying with anisaldehyde sulfuric acid reagent and heating at 110°C for 5 min, then evaluation in visible light or under UV 365 nm.

TLC of 1,4,8-trihydroxynaphthalene-1-O-D-glucopyranosyl-(1-6)-b-D-xylopyranoside, 1,4,8-trihydroxynaphthalene-1-O-b-D-glucopyranosyl-(1-6)-b-D-arabinopyranoside, 1-hydroxy-4-methoxynaphthalene-1-O-b-D-glucopyranosyl-(1-6)-a-L-rhamnopyranoside on silica gel RP with methanol - water 1:5 and on silica gel with chloroform - methanol - water - 70:30:1.
Chen, by HSCCC coupled with evaporative light scattering detector. J. Liq. Chrom. & Rel. Technol. 26, 1579-1591 (2003). TLC of ginsenoside-Rg1, ginsenoside-Re, notoginsenoside-R1 on silica gel with chloroform - methanol - 2-butanol - water 5:6:1:4 and ethyl acetate - 1-butanol - water 1:1:2. Detection under UV.
Planta Med. 70, 458-464 (2004). Preparative TLC of 6’-O-palmitoyltubeimoside I, a triterpenoid of the 8-formyldammarene type, the acetyl derivative of 7beta,20,26-trihydroxy-(2OS)-dammar-24E-en-3-O-alpha-L-arabinopyranosy-(1-2)-beta-D-glucopyranoside and the acetyl derivative of 7beta,18,20,26-tetrahydroxy-(2OS)-dammar-24E-en-3-O-alpha-L-arabinopyranosy-(1-2)-beta-D-glucopyranoside on silica gel with chloroform - methanol - water 13:7:2 and 13:4:1. Detection by spraying with 10 % sulfuric acid in ethanol, followed by heating.
Pharmazie 62, 957-959 (2007). TLC of sugars (after acid hydrolysis) on silica gel or RP-18 after impregnation with 0.3 M sodium dihydrogen phosphate, with n-butanol - methanol - water 5:3:1. Detection by spraying with o-toluidine salicylate.
