The Cumulative CAMAG Bibliography Service CCBS contains all abstracts of CBS issues beginning with CBS 51. The database is updated after the publication of every other CBS edition. Currently the Cumulative CAMAG Bibliography Service includes more than 11'000 abstracts of publications between 1983 and today. With the online version you can perform your own detailed TLC/HPTLC literature search:

TLC of culture extracts of Stevia rebaudiana on silica with ethyl acetate - isopropanol - water 11:4:2, ethyl acetate - acetic acid - water 8:3:2 and chloroform - methanol - water 15:10:2. Detection by spraying with vanillin - sulfuric acid reagent. Excellent TLC method for the detection of steviol glucosides in plant or cell culture extracts. Also preparative TLC using the same solvent systems.
Phytochemistry 33, 657-661 (1993). TLC of monodesmosidic triterpene saponins on silica with chloroform - methanol - water - acetic acid 61:32:7:1. Detection with sulfuric acid, followed by heating at 110 °C. Analysis of sapogenins by TLC on silica with chloroform - acetone 25:3 and of sugars with ethyl acetate - methanol - water - acetic acid 13:3:3:5. Detection with phosphoric naphthoresorcinol. TLC conditions suitable for other terpenoid glycosides.
J. Planar Chromatogr. 7, 129-132 (1994). TLC of lanatosides A and C (relative to other glycosides) on silica and mixtures of ethyl acetate, methanol, and water to form a stepwise gradient with increasing concentrations of methanol. Detection by spraying with a 1:1 mixture of 3% aqueous solution of chloramine and a 25% solution of trichloroacetic acid in 95% ethanol, followed by heating for 10 min at 100 °C. Quantification by densitometry at 250 nm.
Fat Sci. Technol. 97, 330-333 (1995). TLC of glucopyranosyl sinapate and sinapic acid on silica, RP-18, and cellulose with 11 different mobile phases; best separation on HPTLC silica with chloroform - methanol - water 65:35:19 (lower layer), and toluene - chloroform - acetone 8:5:7. Detection by spraying with aqueous solution of iron(III)chloride and potassium iron(II)cyanide.
J. Chinese Trad. Patent Med. (Zhongchengyao) 17 (5), 15-16 (1995). TLC of ginsenoside Rg1 on silica with butanol - ethyl acetate - water 8:6:1, saturated with NH3. Detection by spraying with 5 % sulfuric acid in ethanol and heating for 5 min. Quantification by densitometry at 550 nm.
J. Planar Chromatogr. 11, 230-232 (1998). TLC of flavone derivatives (apigenin, apigenin-7-O-glucoside, luteolin, luteolin-4-O- and -7-O-glucoside) on RP-18 with methanol - water - acetic acid 25:25:3. Visualization by spraying with a methanolic solution of 1% diphenylboric acid aminoethyl ester (NP) and 5% polyethylene glycol (PEG). Preparative TLC was performed on conventional thick silica gel and RP-18 with ethyl acetate - formic acid - water 6:1:1 and methanol - water - acetic acid 25:25:3. The spots were analyzed by UV after extraction. Acid hydrolysis of the isolated flavonoids was carried out directly on the TLC plate after application by dipping (of the application zone) into 5 N HCl in methanol - water 1:1 and leaving at 110°C for 45 min to hydrolyze.
Planta med. 65, 383-385 (1999). Analytical TLC of shaminin {2-(2,4,5-trihydroxyphenyl)-3,5,7-trihydroxy-6-C-gluco- pyranosyloxy-4H-1-benzopyrano-4-one} on silica gel with ethyl acetate - methanol - water 8:2:1. Detection under UV 254 nm.
J. Agric. Food Chem. 49, 5848-5851 (2001). TLC of 3 anthocyanins (delphinidin-3-glucoside, cyanidin-3-glucoside, petunidin-3-glucoside) on cellulose with formic acid - hydrochloric acid - water 1:1:2 or n-butanol - acetic acid - water 4:1:5; upper phase. Detection under UV 254, 366 nm and in daylight.
