The Cumulative CAMAG Bibliography Service CCBS contains all abstracts of CBS issues beginning with CBS 51. The database is updated after the publication of every other CBS edition. Currently the Cumulative CAMAG Bibliography Service includes more than 11'000 abstracts of publications between 1983 and today. With the online version you can perform your own detailed TLC/HPTLC literature search:
- Full text search: Enter a keyword, e.g. an author's name, a substance, a technique, a reagent or a term and see all related publications

Detection by spraying with 1% vanillin in sulfuric acid and densitometry at 420 nm. Comparison of the applicability of the techniques. UCLC = Ultra-micro-chamber Centrifugal Layer Chromatography.
J. Chinese Herb Med. (Zhongcaoyao) 19, 544-546 (1988). TLC of cardiac glycosides on silica with dichloromethane - methanol - formamide 80:19:1. Detection by spraying with Kedde reagent. Quantification by spectrophotometry.
Phytochemistry 28, 1539-1541 (1989). TLC of glycosides on silica with butanol - acetone - water 4:1:1, ethyl acetate - methanol - water 20:5:2, chloroform - methanol - water 30:15:2, chloroform - methanol 97:3 and benzene - ethyl acetate 3:1. Detection by spraying with conc. sulfuric acid and p-anisaldehyde - sulfuric acid reagent.
J. Chinese Herb Med. (Zhongcaoyao) 21, 65-66 (1990). TLC of ginsenosides on silica with chloroform - ethyl acetate - methanol - water 15:40:21:10, and chloroform - methanol - butanol - water 6:4.5:12:6. Detection by spraying with 25% sulfuric acid in ethanol, or 10% sulfuric acid in water. Quantification by densitometry at 525 nm.
J. Chinese Herb Med. (Zhongcaoyao) 22, 12- 13 (1991). TLC of saponins with chloroform - methanol - water 30:10:1. Detection by spraying with 10% sulfuric acid in ethanol. Quantification by densitometry (absorbance) at 240 nm.
Phytochemistry 30, 3717-3720 (1991). TLC of 3,28-bidesmosidic triterpenoid saponins, derived from oleanonic acid, on silica with chloroform - methanol - water 60:35:8 or 70:30:3 and TLC of free triterpenes with chloroform - methanol 49:1 or 19:1. Detection by spraying with vanillin - sulfuric acid reagent. Also TLC of sugars on silica with butanol - isopropanol - water 5:3:1. Detection by spraying with aniline phthalate. Method suitable for many other types of terpenoid glycosides.
Phytochemistry 32, 1543-1547 (1993). HPTLC of triterpenoid saponins on silica with butanol - acetic acid - water 12:3:5. Detection with 0.1% Ce(SO4)2 in 2 N sulfuric acid. Analysis of the sapogenins after hydrolysis of the saponins by HPTLC with chloroform - ethyl acetate 1:1 and of the sugars with butanol - 2-propanol - ethyl acetate - acetic acid - water 35:60:100:35:30. Detection with aniline phthalate.
