The Cumulative CAMAG Bibliography Service CCBS contains all abstracts of CBS issues beginning with CBS 51. The database is updated after the publication of every other CBS edition. Currently the Cumulative CAMAG Bibliography Service includes more than 11'000 abstracts of publications between 1983 and today. With the online version you can perform your own detailed TLC/HPTLC literature search:

J. Chinese Trad. Patent Med. (Zhongchengyao) 25, 64-65 (2003). TLC on silica gel with chloroform - acetic acid - methanol - water 10:20:11:5. Detection by spraying with 10% H2SO4 in ethanol, heating at 105°C and under UV. Identification by fingerprint technique.
J. Chinese Trad. Patent Med., (Zhongchengyao), 25(6), 510-511 (2003). TLC on silica gel with butanol - acetic acid - water 8:1:2. Detection by spraying with ninhydrin reagent and heating. Identification by finger print technique. Quantitation of valine by densitometry at 487 nm.
J. Chinese Trad. Patent Med. (Zhongchengyao) 25 (8), 682-682 (2004). TLC of icanine and naringoside on silica gel with ethyl acetate - butanone - methanol - water 10:6:3:1. Detection by spraying with 5 % AICI3 in ethanol and heating at 105 ºC for 5 min, and under UV 365 nm. Identification by standard comparison.
J. Chinese Trad. Patent Med. (Zhongchengyao) 25 (7), 583-584 (2004). TLC on silica gel with benzene - ethyl acetate - methanol - glacial acetic acid - water 16:10:8:4:3. Detection under daylight or UV light. Identification by finger print technique. TLC screening of many other animal's bile, such as duck bile, chicken bile, cow bile, sheep bile, pig bile and fish bile, etc. Discussion of the possibility of replacing snake bile with some other animal's bile containing similar components.

TLC of Jixiangcao buccal tablet extracts on silica gel with 1) petroleum ether (30-60 ºC) - ethyl acetate 8:1 and 2) toluene - acetone - ethanol - ammonia 20:20:3:1. Detection 1) under UV 365 nm; 2) by spraying with 5 % potassium iodobismuthate solution and sodium nitrite solution. Identification by fingerprint technique. Quantification of ephedrine hydrochloride by HPLC.
Chinese J. Trad. Patent Med. (Zhongchengyao) 26 (6), 452-455 (2004). TLC of Shangbiao oil extracts on silica gel with 1) n-heptane-ethyl acetate 17:3; 2) n-heptane - ethyl acetate 9:1; 3). Detection 1) by spraying with 2,4-dinitro-phenylhydrazine solution in ethanol; 2) by spraying with 5 % vanillin-H2SO4 solution and heating at 110 ºC for 5 min. Identification by fingerprint techniques. Quantification of menthol and camphor by GC.

TLC screening of Sinisan powder extracts, purified with macroporous resins, on silica gel with 1) n-butanol - ammonia - ethanol 7:3:1; 2) chloroform - methanol 7:1. Detection 1) by spraying with 5 % AICI3 in ethanol 2) by spraying with 5 % vanillin - H2SO4 solution. Identification by fingerprint technique. Screening of purification conditions by evaluation of the content of the active principle, and yield of the purified products. Type HP20 macroporous resin has been concluded to be the optimum for active fraction of the recipe in purification efficiency.
