The Cumulative CAMAG Bibliography Service CCBS contains all abstracts of CBS issues beginning with CBS 51. The database is updated after the publication of every other CBS edition. Currently the Cumulative CAMAG Bibliography Service includes more than 11'000 abstracts of publications between 1983 and today. With the online version you can perform your own detailed TLC/HPTLC literature search:

J. Chinese Trad. Patent Med., (Zhongchengyao) 25(3), 203-205 (2003) TLC on silica gel with 1) chloroform - ethyl acetate - methanol - water 13:40:22:10. Detection by spraying with 0.5% ninhydrin in ethanol and heating at 105°C for 10 min. Identification by comparison with the standard. Quantitation by densitometry at 525 nm.
CBS 91, 5-7 (2003). HPTLC-AMD of benzodiazepines from serum on lichrospher silica gel with a 9-step gradient based on methanol and diisopropyl ether over 80 mm. Densitometric evaluation by absorbance measurement at 230 and 320 nm followed by spectra recording from 200 to 330 nm.

Identification by fingerprint techniques. Quantitation of astragaloside by densitometry at 530 nm. Discussion of use of the procedures for the quality control of the medicine.
J. Chinese Trad. Patent Med. (Zhongchengyao) 11, 885-887 (2004). TLC on silica gel with 1) n-butanol - 3 M NH4OH - ethanol 5:2:1, 2) toluene - ethyl acetate - formic acid 5:4:1. Detection 1) under UV 254 nm, 2) by spraying with 10 % FeCI3 in ethanol. Identification by fingerprint techniques. Quantitative determination of quercetin by HPLC.

Detection by spraying with 5% potassium iodobismuthate solution. Identification by comparison with the standard. Quantification by densitometry at 502 nm. Validation of the method by investigation of its linearity range (0.41-2.05 µg/spot, r = 0.9999); precision (RSD=1.66% n=5 within plate and 1.88% n=5 plate-to-plate); reproducibility and standard addition recovery (98.9% RSD=1.9% n=5).

HPTLC on silica gel with 1) n-butanol - glacial acid - water 19:5:5; 2) petroleum ether (30-60 ºC) - formic acetate - formic acid 15:5:1; 3) chloroform - ethyl acetate - methanol - formic acid 200:25:50:1. Detection 1) by spraying with 0.5 % ninhydrin in ethanol; 2) under UV 365 nm; 3) by spraying with vanillin - H2SO4 solution and heating. Identification by fingerprint technique. Quantification of emodin by densitometry at 440 nm. Validation of the method by investigation of linearity (0.1 µg - 0.5 µg, r = 0.998); precision (RSD = 3.8 %, n = 15 within plate and RSD = 3.2 %, n = 5 plate to plate); reproducibility of five time assay towards the same sample (RSD = 4.4 %); standard addition recovery (99.5 %, RSD = 2.2 %, n = 5). The results for some real life samples are given.
