Cumulative CAMAG Bibliography Service CCBS
Our CCBS database includes more than 11,000 abstracts of publications. Perform your own detailed search of TLC/HPTLC literature and find relevant information.
The Cumulative CAMAG Bibliography Service CCBS contains all abstracts of CBS issues beginning with CBS 51. The database is updated after the publication of every other CBS edition. Currently the Cumulative CAMAG Bibliography Service includes more than 11'000 abstracts of publications between 1983 and today. With the online version you can perform your own detailed TLC/HPTLC literature search:
- Full text search: Enter a keyword, e.g. an author's name, a substance, a technique, a reagent or a term and see all related publications
- Browse and search by CBS classification: Select one of the 38 CBS classification categories where you want to search by a keyword
- Keyword register: select an initial character and browse associated keywords
- Search by CBS edition: Select a CBS edition and find all related publications
Registered users can create a tailor made PDF of selected articles throughout CCBS search – simply use the cart icon on the right hand of each abstract to create your individual selection of abstracts. You can export your saved items to PDF by clicking the download icon.
J. Trad. Chinese Med. & Pharm. Consult. 3 (7), 368-369 (2011). Hormones have been widely applied in clinical practice, however, overdose hormones are liable to cause general anaphylaxis, and even serious harm to physical health. For quick identification of hormones in traditional Chinese preparations, TLC of the extracts of the preparations on silica gel with chloroform – petroleum ether (30-60 ºC) – methanol 5:3:1, detection at UV 254 nm. Identification of methyltestosterone, prednisolone acetate, estrone, ethinyloestradiol, prednisolone acetate, testosterone undecanoate, fluocinolone acetonide, dexamethasone, betamethasone sodium phosphate, and hydrocortisone acetate by fingerprint comparison with the standards. The method has been applied to the real life samples of four varieties of preparation. The results were compatible with those obtained by HPLC and MS-MS.
J. Chromatogr. 256, 375-377 (1983). TLC of steroids on silica with 3 different solvent Systems: 2,2,4-trimethylpentane-ethyl acetate 4:1; cyclohexane - acetone 6:1 and cyclohexane - ethyl acetate 6:1. Detection by spraying with ethanol - sulfuric acid 1:1 and heating at 110 °C for 10-20 minutes.
CCCV. Glucosylation of 5-androsten-3 beta-ol derivatives containing butenolide, furan or unsaturated ester moieties in the side chain. Coll. czechoslov. chem. comm. 49, 881-891 (1984). TLC of the title compound on silica with a) chloroform - methanol 10:1, b) benzene - acetone 10:1. Detection by spraying with sulfuric acid and heating.
J. Planar Chromatogr. 1, 174-177 (1988). TLC on silica with hexane - chloroform - carbon tetrachloride - ethanol 7:18:22:1. Quantification by densitometry at 220 nm.
J. Planar Chromatogr. 3, 273-275 (1990). One- and two-dimensional TLC on silica, partly impregnated with a saturated solution of silver nitrate in 90% methanol. One-dimensional: chloroform as eluent; two-dimensional: first dimension twice with chloroform, second dimension with hexane - ether 81:1 with chamber saturation. Detection by spraying with a solution of 5 % phosphomolybdic acid in a mixture of hydrochloric acid (approx. 3.5%) in 2-propanol, followed by heating at 80 °C for 5 min. Also spraying with a copper sulfate-phosphoric acid reagent or a vanillin - sulfuric acid reagent.
J. Planar Chromatogr. 6, 269-272 (1993). TLC of 27 corticosteroids on silica with 13 mobile phases; e.g. laboratorymade plates with dichloromethane - ether - methanol - water 77:15:8:1.2 (first development) and ether - toluene - butanol-1, saturated with water 80:15:5; acetic acid - carbon tetrachloride - heptane 4:3:3; 1-butanol - acetic acid - water 6:2:2. Detection under UV at 254 nm followed by spraying with a 20% ethanolic solution of sulfuric acid and heating at 120 °C for 10 min. or until the spots appeared. Examination in daylight and under UV 365 nm.
J. Planar Chromatogr. 12, 120-123 (1999). TLC of bufadienolides (resibufogenin, cinobufagin, bufalin, bufotalin, cinobufotalin, telocinobufagin, gamabufotalin) on silica gel with 20 different eluents. The multiple use of the mobile phase mixtures n-hexane - acetone, n-hexane - ethyl acetate, n-hexane - dichloromethane - acetone, n-hexane - dichloromethane - methanol, and n-hexane - ethyl acetate - methanol, each containing 3% organic bases, furnished effective separation of the bufadienolides. Visualization under UV at 254 nm and by spraying with a 5% solution of sulfuric acid in ethanol or a solution of ceric sulfate in sulfuric acid followed by heating.

OPLC (OPTLC) of progesterone, cholesterol, corticosterone, aldosterone, cortisol, cortisone on silica with a) petrol ether - ethyl-acetate 6:4, b) chloroform - ethyl acetate - ethanol 90:10:1, c) chloroform - phenol 9:1. Detection with 50 % phosphoric acid and heating at 105 °C for 15 minutes.
