Our CCBS database includes more than 11,000 abstracts of publications. Perform your own detailed search of TLC/HPTLC literature and find relevant information.
The Cumulative CAMAG Bibliography Service CCBS contains all abstracts of CBS issues beginning with CBS 51. The database is updated after the publication of every other CBS edition. Currently the Cumulative CAMAG Bibliography Service includes more than 11'000 abstracts of publications between 1983 and today. With the online version you can perform your own detailed TLC/HPTLC literature search:
- Full text search: Enter a keyword, e.g. an author's name, a substance, a technique, a reagent or a term and see all related publications
- Browse and search by CBS classification: Select one of the 38 CBS classification categories where you want to search by a keyword
- Keyword register: select an initial character and browse associated keywords
- Search by CBS edition: Select a CBS edition and find all related publications
Registered users can create a tailor made PDF of selected articles throughout CCBS search – simply use the cart icon on the right hand of each abstract to create your individual selection of abstracts. You can export your saved items to PDF by clicking the download icon.
J.Chinese Herb Med. 18, 349- 352 (1987) (Zhong Caoyao). TLC of alkaloids, triterpenoidal saponin, essential oil, polysaccharides, lipids on silica with chloroform - methanol - water 13:7:2 for alkaloids and triterpenoidal saponin, and petrol ether - ethyl acetate 15:5 for essential oil. Detection by spraying with potassium iodobismuthate, 10% sulfuric acid, 5% vanillin - sulfuric acid, resp.
Limonis aetheroleum DAB 9, Citri aetheroleum DAB 8. (German). TLC of citral and limonen on silica with dichloromethane. Detection with UV 254 nm and by spraying with anisaldehyde - sulfuric acid reagent followed by heating at 110-120°C for 5 min.
Flavour and Fragrance J. 7, 125-127 (1992). TLC on silica with benzene - petrol ether 9:1. Visualization by spraying with 2% vanillin in sulfuric acid or with 2,4-dinitrophenylhydrazine and antimony(III)chloride.
J. Chinese Trad. Patent Med. (Zhongchengyao) 20 (2), 15-16 (1998). TLC of essential oils on silica gel with hexane - ethyl acetate 17:3. Detection by spraying with 5% vanillin-sulfuric acid reagent and heating at 105°C for 5 min. Comparison of the constituents by finger print techniques.
obtained by different techniques. J. Planar Chromatogr. 23, 320-322 (2010). HPTLC of thymol in Satureja hortensis L. extracts on silica gel with toluene - ethyl acetate 93:7. Detection by spraying with anisaldehyde reagent. Quantitative determination by absorbance measurement at 513 nm. The quantity of thymol extracted depends on the composition of the extraction solvent and the extraction technique. The best results were obtained by maceration with ethanol.

J. Chromatogr. 452, 377-398 (1988). Evaluation of the chromatographic properties of about 100 sterols, select steroids of plant origin and triterpenoids by TLC or argentation TLC and other techniques. Visualization of TL Chromatograms by spraying with 50% methanolic sulfuric acid and heating at 60°C. Discussion of the utility of each methodology.
