The Cumulative CAMAG Bibliography Service CCBS contains all abstracts of CBS issues beginning with CBS 51. The database is updated after the publication of every other CBS edition. Currently the Cumulative CAMAG Bibliography Service includes more than 11'000 abstracts of publications between 1983 and today. With the online version you can perform your own detailed TLC/HPTLC literature search:

J. Chromatogr. A 1530, 197-203 (2017). Evaluation of the phenolic and stigmasterol content and comparison of the antioxidant and antidiabetic activities by HPTLC combined with DPPH* free radical method and α-amylase assay towards ethanol and ethyl acetate extracts of 10 marine macroalgae species (3 chlorophyta, 4 phaeophyta and 3 rhodophyta). HPTLC on silica gel with n-hexane – ethyl acetate – acetic acid 20:9:1 over 80 mm. Detection either by dipping into 0.4 % DPPH* solution followed by storing in the dark for 30 min before evaluation, or by dipping into anisaldehyde – sulfuric acid reagent or neutralized ferric chloride solution (prepared by adding dilute sodium hydroxide to freshly prepared 2 % ferric chloride in methanol until precipitation occurs, followed by filtering), both followed by heating at 100 °C for 10 min. Quantitative evaluation by absorbance measurement at 470 nm for detection of α-amylase inhibition and at 550 nm for stigmasterol. The results showed higher antioxidant activity in the ethyl acetate extracts than in ethanol extracts, and higher amounts of fucoxanthin, stigmasterol and α-amylase inhibitory activities in ethyl acetate extracts. The results proved the relation of higher α-amylase inhibition in ethyl acetate extracts due to the presence of triterpenes and sterols, and no contribution of fucoxanthin to it.
Virgaureasaponin 1, a new bisdesmosidic triterpenoid saponin of Solidago virgaurea L. Pharmazie 42, 541-543 (1987). TLC of saponins on silica with chloroform - methanol - water 15:10:2, with chloroform - methanol 9:1 and with n-butanol - ethanol - water 4:1:5 (upper phase). Detection reagents: blood gelatin for saponins, anisaldehyde - sulfuric acid for saponins and sapogenins and thymol - sulfuric acid for sugars. A new triterpenesaponin isolated and identified.
J. of Natural Products 51, 504-508 (1988). TLC of cucurbitacin B on silica and silica PF254 with ethyl acetate - methanol - water 10:1:3 (upper layer) and chloroform - methanol 11:0.4. Detection with VAP reagent (2% ethanol solution of vanillin, 85% o-phosphoric acid and ethanol 1:2:8) and heating for 10 min. at 120°C, examination under UV 365 nm.
J. of Natural Products 53, 196-198 (1989). TLC on silica with diethyl ether - hexane 4:3. Visualization by UV or by spraying with anisaldehyde reagent.
Phytochemistry 30, 1957-1962 (1991). TLC of clerodane diterpenes on silica with chloroform - methanol 9:1, ethyl acetate - methanol 9:1 and petrol ether - acetone 9:1. Detection with anisaldehyde reagent. (Excellent resolution of clerodane-type diterpenes. Also TLC of berberine and related alkaloids on silica with methanol - water mixtures, as well as column chromatography.
J. Chromatogr. A 715, 372-375 (1995). TLC of 32 steroids and triterpenes on silver nitrate-impregnated silica with 1) hexane - ethyl acetate 3:1, 2:1, 2) hexane - ether 10:1, 5:1, 3) hexane, 4) hexane - toluene 10:1. Report of the Rf values.
Chinese J. Chromatogr. (Sepu) 15, 328-330 (1997). TLC of ipomeamarone, ipomeamaronol, ipomeanine and 4-ipomeanol on silica with 1) hexane - ethyl acetate 4:1, 2) petrol ether - ethyl acetate 2:1, 3) benzene - methanol 9:1. Detection by spraying with Ehrlich's reagent. Quantification by densitometry at 527 nm. Detection limit 5 ng - 20 ng.
J. Agric. Food Chem. 49, 3187-3197 (2001). Preparative TLC of fatty acid esters of triterpenols and sterols, triterpene diols, free triterpenols, free sterols, fatty acid esters of triterpene triols on silica gel with n-hexane - ethyl acetate 6:1.
