The Cumulative CAMAG Bibliography Service CCBS contains all abstracts of CBS issues beginning with CBS 51. The database is updated after the publication of every other CBS edition. Currently the Cumulative CAMAG Bibliography Service includes more than 11'000 abstracts of publications between 1983 and today. J. Planar Chromatogr. 26, 496-501 (2013). HPTLC of amitriptyline in gastric lavage on silica gel with methanol – ammonia (25%) 197:3. Quantitative determination by absorbance measurement at 209 nm. The hRf value of amitriptyline was 49. Linearity was between 10 and 250 ng/zone. LOD and LOQ were 5 and 17 ng/zone. Recovery (by standard addition) was in the range of 83-92 %. Intermediate intra- and inter-day precision was below 2 %.
J. Chromatogr. 437, 59-82 (1988). TLC of 54 amines on silica with benzene and benzene - ethyl acetate - acetone 100:5:1. Detection by spraying with N-chloro-2,6-dichloro-P-benzoquinone monoimine in buffered alkaline medium. Identification of several imprecisely defined products. Establishment of theoretical correlations between chemical structures, Rf values and colors of spots.
Acta Chimica 128, 819-822 (1991). TLC of bulgaramine on silica with dichloromethane – ethanol 10:1. Visualization under UV or by exposing to iodine vapor.
J. Chromatogr. Sci. 33, 383-385 (1995). Study of the TLC behavior of 27 aromatic amines on silica and silica impregnated with aqueous solutions of various Na salts, i.e. chloride, hydroxide, nitrate, nitrite, acetate, sulfate and H phosphate, etc., and with cyclohexane - benzene 1:4. Comparison of results on silica with those on impregnated silica. Discussion of the effects of the nature of substituent groups and the number of C atoms in the molecule on the mobility of amines.

HPTLC of dansyl derivatives of putrescine, cadaverine, spermidine, and spermine on silica gel with chloroform - triethylamine - polyoxyethylene-10-lauryl ether 8:4:5, light protected. Quantitation by fluorodensitometry at 338 / 502 nm. Sensible, sensitive, precise and accurate procedure.
J. Chromatogr. A 1045 (1-2), 223-232 (2004). TLC of dansyl derivatives of biogenic amines (agmatine, putrescine, tryptamine, cadaverine, spermidine, histamine, spermine, tyramine and beta-phenylethylamine) with chloroform - diethyl ether - triethylamine 6:4:1, followed by chloroform - triethylamine 6:1. Quantitative determination by fluorescence measurement at 330/>400 nm. Correlation coefficients of linear regressions were higher than 0.99 for all amines, except for agmatine (0.976). Detection limits were 10 ng for tryptamine, tyramine, histamine and ß-phenylethylamine, and 5 ng for the other amines. The overall repeatability of the chromatography was 1.82 % when including agmatine and barely 1.02 % for the other amines. The accuracy ranged from 105.97 % (agmatine) to 49.92 % (tryptamine). This thin-layer chromatography method was found to be an effective and precise analytical procedure to separate and determine biogenic amines. Its main advantages compared to previous procedures are that it uses less harmful solvent (diethyl ether instead of benzene) and can separate a larger group of biogenic amines.

TLC of tryptophane, tyrosine, norepinephrine, serotonine and 5-hydroxyindole-3-acetic acid on silica with butanol - acetic acid - water 4:1:5. Running time 2 h at 25°C. After drying, spraying with OPT (indoles) or with 1-nitrose-2-naphthol. After 12 h examination under UV.
Analytical Science 25(1), 57-62 (2009). HPTLC of minocycline on silica gel plates previously treated with 10 % EDTA solution of pH 9.0 with methanol - acetonitrile - isopropyl alcohol - water 10:8:1:1. The hRf value was 32. Densitometric evaluation at 345 nm. The method was linear in the range of 100-1200 ng/band for all biological samples. The average recovery was 95.1 %. The method was found suitable for estimation of the drug in different biological fluids (human plasma, saliva, gingival fluid) and can be used for pharmacokinetic studies.
