The Cumulative CAMAG Bibliography Service CCBS contains all abstracts of CBS issues beginning with CBS 51. The database is updated after the publication of every other CBS edition. J. Liq. Chromatogr. Relat. Technol. 37, 2814-2828 (2014). HPTLC of arylureas and arylacetamides derivatives on RP-18 with 1-13 % water in dimethylsulfoxide (increment 3 %). Detection under UV 254 nm. A quantitative structure-retention relationship study allowed to investigate the retention behavior of these substances as well as determination of lipophilicity related to the biological activity towards dopamine D2 and 5-hydroxy-tryptamine receptors.
J. Planar Chromatogr. 29, 165-175 (2016). HPTLC of 15 steroid and phenanthrene derivatives on silica gel, RP-18 and CN phase with five binary mobile phases (acetonitrile – water, acetonitrile – dimethyl sulfoxide, acetonitrile – methanol, acetone – petroleum ether, and acetone – water). Quantitative structure‒retention relationships analysis showed the chromatographic behavior of the tested compounds.
J. Planar Chromatogr. 31, 250-256 (2018). HPTLC of fifteen 17β-carboxamide glucocorticoid derivatives and prednisolone on RP-18 with acetonitrile – water (1:1, 3:2, 7:3, and 4:1), acetone – water (1:1, 3:2, 7:3, and 4:1, and 9:1), ethanol 96 % – water (1:1, 3:2, 7:3, and 4:1), methanol – water (3:2, 7:3, 4:1, and 9:1) and tetrahydrofuran – water (1:1, 3:2, 7:3, and 4:1). The system consisting of water and ethanol 96 % was selected as the most suitable for the prediction of octanol – water partition coefficients (log Po/w).
Chromatography the State of the Art, Vol. II, Akademiai Kiado, Budapest 1985, 615-632. On the basis of the experiments and the calculated RM values and experimentally obtained log k' values of the studied substances the correlations log k'=f (RM) have been plotted for given mobile phase compositions. TLC on activated silica with.isooctane, hexane, cyclohexane and chloroform and their binary mixtures. The chromatograms developed under thermostatic conditions at 21± 0.5 °C. The chromatographed substances: naphtalene and its methyl derivatives and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons. From the data presented it appears that the correlation between log k' and the RM values are straight lines and their shapes depend on the composition of the mobile phase and on the TLC technique used.
J. Chromatogr. 347, 303-309 (1985). Study on HPTLC behaviour of phenylethylamines and phenolic acids on silanized silica impregnated with N-dodecylpyridinium chloride, or with dodecylbenzenesulfonic acid. The presence of KCl makes the spots more compact. The presence of 1 or more OH groups in the molecule decreases the retention of the compounds, whereas an opposite behaviour occurs with replacement of a phenolic group with an OCH3 group. Secondary amines are more strongly retained than primary amines. The N-CH3, groups increase the affinity of the compounds towards the exchanges in the order: primary amine secondary amine tertiary amine. Investigation of the relationship between Rf values and the structure of the compounds. Comparison of the results with those obtained by UV spectroscopy.

HPTLC of 16 benzimidazols on silica with hexane - 1-propanol 8:2 or benzene - 1-propanol 8:2 (both containing 3 drops of conc NH3) and on RP-18 silica with methanol - 0.5 M NH3 8:2 and acetonitrile - 0.5 M NH3 8:2. Observation under UV 254 nm. The differences in the chromatographic behavior of the benzimidazoles in normal (silica) and reverse (RP-18 silica) phase HPTLC have been correlated with their molecular structure.
