The Cumulative CAMAG Bibliography Service CCBS contains all abstracts of CBS issues beginning with CBS 51. The database is updated after the publication of every other CBS edition. Currently the Cumulative CAMAG Bibliography Service includes more than 11'000 abstracts of publications between 1983 and today. With the online version you can perform your own detailed TLC/HPTLC literature search:

TLC of aflatoxin M1 on silica with toluene - ethyl acetate - ether - formic acid 25:35:40:5 as first eluent, heating at110 °C for 10 min, overspotting of located M1 with p-anisaldehyde solution (0.25 ml anisaldehyde in methanol - acetic acid - sulfuric acid 42.5:5:5.2) and developing with hexane - acetone - chloroform 15:50:35 as second eluent. Examination under long-wave UV. Detection limit 0.3 ng.

TLC on HPTLC silica with chloroform - acetone 9:1 in the one-dimensional mode and with benzene - methanol - acetic acid 9:0.5:0.8 and chloroform - acetone 9:1 in the bidimensional mode. Detection under UV; confirmation through formation of derivatives by spraying the plate with 25% aqueous HNO3. Sensitivity 0.05-0.1 ng for G1 and B1, <0.05 ng for G2 and B2.

Detection by spraying with 2.5% 4-dimethyl-aminobenzaldehyde in methanol, then with a solution of 2 mL sulfuric acid in 10 mL of methanol - glycerol 6:4, and heating at 110°C for 10 min. Quantification by fluorimetry.

Mini-collaborative study of AOAC Official Method 971.22, Standard for Aflatoxins, TLC Method, to extend the method to 3 replacement solvents for benzene for calibration of standard aflatoxin solutions. As a result the a. m. method has been modified to extend its applicability to methanol, acetonitrile, and toluene - acetonitrile 9:1 as 3 replacement solvents for benzene used for the TLC determination of aflatoxins in food.
