Cumulative CAMAG Bibliography Service CCBS
Our CCBS database includes more than 11,000 abstracts of publications. Perform your own detailed search of TLC/HPTLC literature and find relevant information.
The Cumulative CAMAG Bibliography Service CCBS contains all abstracts of CBS issues beginning with CBS 51. The database is updated after the publication of every other CBS edition. Currently the Cumulative CAMAG Bibliography Service includes more than 11'000 abstracts of publications between 1983 and today. With the online version you can perform your own detailed TLC/HPTLC literature search:
- Full text search: Enter a keyword, e.g. an author's name, a substance, a technique, a reagent or a term and see all related publications
- Browse and search by CBS classification: Select one of the 38 CBS classification categories where you want to search by a keyword
- Keyword register: select an initial character and browse associated keywords
- Search by CBS edition: Select a CBS edition and find all related publications
Registered users can create a tailor made PDF of selected articles throughout CCBS search – simply use the cart icon on the right hand of each abstract to create your individual selection of abstracts. You can export your saved items to PDF by clicking the download icon.
J. Chromatogr. 350, 468-470 (1986). TLC of various steroids on silica with chloroform - methanol 10:1. Detection with 1 % solution of rubeanic acid in conc. sulfuric acid. Detection limit up to 100 ng for various types of steroids. Densitometric determination at 254 nm.
J. Planar Chromatogr. 3, 34-37 (1990). Investigation of the retention behavior of 12 steroids (cholesterol, allylestrenol, pregnanediol, progesterone, estradiol, estrone, estriol etc.) using PR-HPTLC systems with acetonitrile – methanol, acetonitrile – water, and methanol – water binary mixtures. The separation abilities of the mobile phases considered were studied using the principal component analysis method. Visualization by spraying with a mixture of 10 g copper sulfate and 5 mL o-phosphoric acid (86%) dissolved in 95 mL methanol.
J. Liq. Chromatogr. Relat. Technol. 29, 2035-2044 (2006). TLC of androsterone, epi-androsterone, dehydro-epi-androsterone, testosterone, stigmasterol, beta-sitosterol, estradiol, hydrocortisone, and cholesterol on silica gel with chloroform - acetone 17:3 and activation at 100 °C, 120 °C, 150 °C, and 200 °C during 15, 30, 60, and 120 min. Activation time temperature influenced Rf values and order of separated compunds.

TLC of testosterone, progesterone, l7 beta-estradiol on silica with dichloromethane - ethyl acetate 8:2 for testosterone, chloroform - ethyl acetate 1:50 for progesterone and chloroform - ethanol 9:1 for 17 beta -estradiol. Detection by UV for testosterone, with 2,4-dinitrophenylhydrazine for progesterone and 1:1 mixture of FeCl3 and K3Fe(Cl)6 for estradiol.
J. Planar Chromatogr. 3, 189-190 (1990). HPTLC of clioquinol, hydrocortisone and hydrocortisone acetate on silica with hexane - ethyl acetate - acetic acid 20:30:1 after washing the layers with dichloromethane - methanol 1:1 prior to sample application. Quantification by densitometry.
Youji Huaxue 1987, 67-69. TLC of 5 alpha -androst 2,16-diene 4,5 alpha -androst -16-en-3-one 3 and other androstene derivatives on silica with hexane - ethyl acetate 7:3. Detection by spraying with methanolic sulfuric acid 1:1, followed by densitometry.
(Hungarian). Acta Pharmaceutica Hungarica 62, 88-96 (1992). TLC of pipecuronium bromide on silica with methanol - acetone - A. solvent - B. solvent 51,4:38,6:10:2. A. solvent = 7 g ammoniumcarbonate in 100 mL conc. NH3, B. solvent = 10 g ammoniumchloride + 2 mL water in 50 mL conc. NH3. Detection with Dragendorff reagent, densitometry at 525 nm. Detection limit 0.02 µg.
J. Liquid Chrom. 9, 3461-3457 (1986). Isolation of dexamethasone sodium phosphate and betamethasone sodium phosphate after alkaline phosphatase reaction. TLC on silica with chloroform - methanol - water 180:15:1 or dichloromethane - ether - methanol -water 77:15:8:1; location under short wave UV. Quantification after extraction with ethanol by absorbance at 240 nm. Average recovery 100.56 resp. 100.46 %. Assay of unesterified steroids and identification of preservatives (e.g. methyl or propyl parabenzoates, phenol, benzylalcohol) may be carried out by the same method.
