Quantitative determination by densitometry at 200 nm (before derivatization and for methylene violet), 657 nm (gentian violet), 487 nm (janus blue), 488 nm (malachite green), 580 nm (rhodamine B), and 361 nm (chloramine T). LOD was 0.29 µg/zone (without visualizing agent, with chloramine T and with rhodamine B), 4.19 µg/ zone with methylene violet, 1.10 µg/zone with gentian violet, 2.14 µg/zone with janus blue, and 4.19 µg/zone with malachite green, all with an application volume of 5 µL.

The procedure can be used for the identification of specific forms of cytochrome P450 in crude microsomal preparations, as well as for monitoring the purification of new forms of the enzyme and alterations in the catalytic activities of mutagenically altered forms of the enzyme.

HPTLC of prednisolone acetate (1) and moxifloxacin hydrochloride (2) in pharmaceuticals on RP-18 with methanol - water 7:3 + 1 drop triethylamine. Quantitative determination by absorbance measurement at 274 nm. The hRf values for (1) and (2) were 50 and 72, respectively. Linearity was in the range of 600-3600 ng/zone for (1) and 300-1800 ng/zone for (2). LOD and LOQ were 57 and 173 ng/zone for (1) and 27 and 83 ng/zone for (2). Recoveries (by standard addition) were in the range of 100-102 % for (1) and (2). Intermediate intra- and inter-day precision was below 2 % (n=3).

HPTLC of androgens, corticosteroids, mineral-ocorticoids and gestagens on silica with dichloromethane - isooctanol - isopropanol 70:25:5 and diethyl ether - isooctane - isopropanol 70:25:5.
