The Cumulative CAMAG Bibliography Service CCBS contains all abstracts of CBS issues beginning with CBS 51. The database is updated after the publication of every other CBS edition. Currently the Cumulative CAMAG Bibliography Service includes more than 11'000 abstracts of publications between 1983 and today. With the online version you can perform your own detailed TLC/HPTLC literature search:

Detection by spraying with natural products reagent followed by PEG reagent. Qualitative identification under UV 365 nm. The hRf values of gallic acid, myricetrin and ellagic acid were 71, 34 and 38, respectively.

J. Ethnopharmacol. 231, 494-502 (2019). HPTLC fingerprint of Albizia lebbeck on silica gel with toluene – ethyl acetate – formic acid 5:5:1. Qualitative identification under UV light at 276 nm. The hRF value for standard catechin was 48. Saponin rich fraction was also analyzed by HPTLC on silica gel with petroleum ether – ethyl acetate 1:1. Detection by spraying with anisaldehyde – sulfuric acid reagent, followed by heating at 110–120 °C for 10–12 min.
Solanum species used as ‘Brihati’ and its market samples using a validated high-performance thin-layer chromatography method
J. Planar Chromatogr. 31, 421-428 (2018). HPTLC of solamargine in Solanum species on silica gel with dichloromethane ‒ methanol ‒ 2.5% aqueous ammonia 75:25:2. Detection by dipping into anisaldehyde sulfuric acid reagent, followed by heating at 110 °C. Quantitative determination by absorbance measurement at 540 nm. The hRF value for solamargine was 15. Linearity was between 25 and 300 ng/zone. LOD and LOQ were 1 and 4 ng/zone. The intermediate precision was <2 % (n=3). Average recovery was 101.2 %.

TLC on silica gel with 1) petroleum ether - ethyl acetate - butanone - methanol - water 15:25:3:7:1; 2) petroleum ether - ethyl acetate - formic acid 15:5:1. Detection 1) under UV light, 2) by spraying with 5 % potassium iodobismuthate solution and heating at 105 ºC for 5 min. Identification by finger print technique. Quantification of betaine by densitometry at 514 nm.

TLC on silica gel with 1) ethyl acetate - butanone - formic acid - water 10:7:1:1; 2) benzene - acetone 10:1; 3) petroleum ether - ethyl formate - glacial acetic acid 18:1:1. Detection 1) under UV 365 nm, 2) by spraying with 5 % solution of vanillin - acetic acid - perchloric acid and heating at 105 ºC, 3) by spraying with 10 % H2SO4 in ethanol and heating at 105 ºC. Identification by fingerprint techniques. Quantitation of icariine by HPLC.

Quantitation of danshensu by HPLC. Discussion of use of the procedures for the quality control of the medicine.

TLC of Qufeng medicinal wine on silica gel with 1) n-hexane - ethyl acetate 9:1; 2) ethyl acetate - methanol - water 100:17:13; 3) toluene - ethyl acetate - formic acid - water 20:10:1:1; 4) chloroform - methanol - water 40:10:1; 5) n-hexane - ethyl acetate - chloroform - glacial acetic acid 50:15:5:1. Detection 1) under UV 365 nm; 2) by spraying with 1 % AlCl3 in methanol and under UV 365 nm; 3) by spraying with 5 % H2SO4 in ethanol and heating at 105 ºC; 4) by exposing to ammonia vapor. Identification by fingerprint technique. Quantification of emodin by densitometry at 460 nm. Validation of the method by investigation of its linearity range (0.133-1.330 µg/spot, r=0.9999), precision (RSD=1.44 %, n=6), recovery (99.24 %, RSD=0.74 %, n=12).
