The Cumulative CAMAG Bibliography Service CCBS contains all abstracts of CBS issues beginning with CBS 51. The database is updated after the publication of every other CBS edition. Currently the Cumulative CAMAG Bibliography Service includes more than 11'000 abstracts of publications between 1983 and today. With the online version you can perform your own detailed TLC/HPTLC literature search:

Determination of total lignan content by spectrophotometry. Analysis of the processing principle by comparison of the contents of the volatile oil and lignans in the extracts obtained by using different processing procedures, and discussing of the optimal processing procedures.

Detection 1) by spraying with 1 % vanillin solution and heating at 105 ºC for 10 min; 2) under UV 365 nm. Identification by fingerprint technique. Quantification of ferulic acid by densitometry at 325 nm. Validation of the method by investigation of linearity (0.16 µg - 1.6 µg, r = 0.9992); precision (RSD = 1.8 %, n= 5 within plate and RSD = 2.3 % plate to plate); reproducibility of five time assay towards the same sample (RSD = 0.5 %); and standard addition recovery (97.17 %, RSD = 0.9 %, n = 5). The results for three real life samples are given.

TLC of the extracts of the title Chinese traditional patent medicine on silica gel with 1) ethyl acetate - methanol - ammonia 17:2:1; 2) n-butanol - glacial acetic acid - water 19:5:5. Detection 1) under UV 365 nm; 2) by spraying with ninhydrin solution followed by heating at 105 ºC until the spots are visualized. Identification by fingerprint technique. Quantification of paracetamol and pseudoephedrine arginine by HPLC.
J. Planar Chromatogr. 19, 187-190 (2006). Comparison of the iridoid composition of ten Stachys species by use of a TLC-densitometric method. TLC of harpagide, acetylharpagide, harpagoside, ajugoside, aucubin, and catalpol on silica gel with chloroform - methanol - water 25:10:1 and, occasionally, ethyl acetate - formic acid - water 9:2:1. Visualization of the spots by use of Ehrlich’s spray reagent (1 % dimethylaminobenzaldehyde in concentrated hydrochloric acid) followed by heating at 105 °C for 5 min. Quantitation by densitometry at 540 nm after 3 h.

Preparative TLC of tsangin A with dichloromethane - acetone 25:1; of tsangin B and beilschmien C with dichloromethane - acetone 20:1; of beilschmien A and B with n-hexane - ethylacetate 2:1.
