The Cumulative CAMAG Bibliography Service CCBS contains all abstracts of CBS issues beginning with CBS 51. The database is updated after the publication of every other CBS edition. Currently the Cumulative CAMAG Bibliography Service includes more than 11'000 abstracts of publications between 1983 and today. DC., on silica gel with chloroform – methanol – ammonia 150:5:1, detection under UV 366 nm; 4) for Saussurea woodiana Hemsl., on silica gel with petroleum ether (60-90°C) – ethyl formate – formic acid 75:25:2, detection under UV 366 nm.

Shanhaidanpian tablets are a herbal TCM preparation for the treatment of poor blood flow, blood stasis and chest pain syndrome. Fufang Xiaoji Zhike Milian Gao ointment is herbal TCM preparation for clearing the body heat caused by inflammation, resolving phlegm and relieving asthma. For quality control, TLC on silica gel 1) for Pericarpium Citri Reticulatae and the standard hesperidin, first over 3 cm with ethyl acetate – methanol – water 99:17:13 and thenover 8 cm with toluene – ethyl acetate – formic acid – water 95:45:5:3, detection by spraying with 2 % aluminium chloride in ethanol and viewing under UV 366 nm; 2) for Schisandra Chinensis and the standard schizandrin A, with the upper phase of petroleum ether (30-60 °C) – ethyl formate – formic acid 15:5:1, detection under UV 254 nm; 3) for Crataegus pinnatifida and the standard ursolic acid, with toluene – ethyl acetate – formic acid – water 39:8:2:1, detection by spraying with 10 % sulfuric acid in ethanol and heating at 80 °C, detection under UV 366 nm. Quantification of tenuifolin by HPLC.
J. Planar Chromatogr. 27, 181-185 (2014). HPTLC of plumbagin in the root of Plumbago zeylanica on silica gel with n-butanol - chloroform - petroleum 2:3:1. Quantitative determination by absorbance measurement at 268 nm. The hRF value for plumbagin was 58. Linearity was in the range of 225-675 ng/zone. The intermediate/interday/intra-day precision were below 2 % (n=3). The LOD and LOQ were 30 and 90 ng/zone, respectively.
J. of Xinjiang Trad. Chinese Med. 31 (4), 77-79 (2013). Conger Pian tablet is a herbal TCM for treating sensorineural hearing loss. For quality control, TLC on silica gel 1) for Ligusticum chuanxiong and the standard ferulic acid, with n-hexane – ethyl acetate 9:1, detection under UV 366 nm; 2) for Cornus officinalis Sieb. et Zucc. and the standard ursolic acid, with cyclohexane – chloroform - ethyl acetate 20:5:8, detection by spraying with 10 % sulfuric acid in ethanol and heating at 105 ˚C until the zones are visible in daylight. Quantification of icariin by HPLC.
J. Chinese Modern Med. & Pharm. 20 (11), 68-69 (2013). Heidouliuyou Ruangao ointment is a herbal TCM for diminishing inflammation and promoting skin regeneration, and is prescribed clinically for the treatment of neurodermatitis, subacute and chronic dermatitis, chronic eczema, etc. For quality control, TLC of the sample extracts and the standards eucalyptol and borneol on silica gel with n-hexane – toluene – acetone 24:16:1, detection by spraying with 5 % vanillin in sulfuric acid – ethanol 1:4 and heating at 105 °C until the zones are visible in daylight.
Chinese J. of Henan Univ. (Med Sci.) 32 (3), 184-186 (2013). Mingmu Keli granule is a traditional Chinese compound herbal medicine prescribed clinically to treat impaired vision, red eye and eye dryness, macular degeneration, etc. For quality control, TLC 1) for Rhizoma Atractylodis, on silica gel with petroleum ether (60-90 °C) – ethyl acetate 20:1, detection by spraying with 5 % p-dimethylaminobenzaldehyde in sulfuric acid – water 1:10 and heating mildly until the zones are visible in daylight; 2) for Citrus maxima (Burm.) Merr. cv. Tomentosa, on silica gel first over 3 cm with ethyl acetate – methanol – water 100:17:13, then over 8 cm with toluene – ethyl acetate – glacial acetic acid – water 40:20:3:2, detection under UV 366 nm after spraying with 3 % aluminum trichloride in ethanol; 3) for Saposhnikovia divaricata (Trucz.) Schischk., on silica gel (with fluorescence indicator F254 nm) with chloroform – methanol 8:3, detection under UV 254 nm. Quantification of paeoniflorin by HPLC.
Food Chem. 173, 749-754 (2015). Micro TLC of coloured materials in dried herbs as well as meads with juice mixed with 1 mM methanolic solution of DPPH on silica gel with hexane - acetone - ethanol 30:19:1. The method allowed to measure the total antioxidant potential.
