Cumulative CAMAG Bibliography Service CCBS
Our CCBS database includes more than 11,000 abstracts of publications. Perform your own detailed search of TLC/HPTLC literature and find relevant information.
The Cumulative CAMAG Bibliography Service CCBS contains all abstracts of CBS issues beginning with CBS 51. The database is updated after the publication of every other CBS edition. Currently the Cumulative CAMAG Bibliography Service includes more than 11'000 abstracts of publications between 1983 and today. With the online version you can perform your own detailed TLC/HPTLC literature search:
- Full text search: Enter a keyword, e.g. an author's name, a substance, a technique, a reagent or a term and see all related publications
- Browse and search by CBS classification: Select one of the 38 CBS classification categories where you want to search by a keyword
- Keyword register: select an initial character and browse associated keywords
- Search by CBS edition: Select a CBS edition and find all related publications
Registered users can create a tailor made PDF of selected articles throughout CCBS search – simply use the cart icon on the right hand of each abstract to create your individual selection of abstracts. You can export your saved items to PDF by clicking the download icon.
Planta Med. 83, 1035-1043 (2017). TLC on silica gel with detection with anisaldehyde or Kedde’s reagent, 1) with ethyl acetate to monitor the isolation of digitoxin, by flash chromatography, from a fraction of a methanolic extract of Digitalis lanata, 2) with ethyl acetate – dichloromethane 1:1 to monitor five different methods for the hemisynthesis (with silver oxyde and diphenylborinic acid) of glucoevatromonoside from evatromonoside, itself produced from digitoxin, 3) with ketone – methanol 19:1 to analyse the glucoevatromonoside produced by biotransformation of evatromonoside by the glycosyltransferase activity of suspension cell cultures of Digitalis lanata. Digitoxigenin was used as internal standard, using the methanol fraction of the cell lysates, either directly or after a purification by flash chromatography. Hemisynthesis was twice more efficient as biotransformation, but the yield did not reach 70%.
J. Indian Acad. Forensic Sci. 29 (2), 3-8 (1990). A simple, sensitive and specific color reaction for the detection of carbaryl (detection limit 1µg) based on the condensation of ß-naphthol (product of carbaryl hydrolysis) followed by oxidation is described. Since other carbamate insecticides do not give the same red-violet color reaction it can be used routinely for specific detection in biological materials in forensic toxicology.
J. Planar Chromatogr. 3, 535-536 (1990). TLC of 22 amino acids on silica with propanol - water 7:3. Staining procedure: After chromatography plates sprayed with an acid in ethanol and, after intermediate drying, sprayed with 0.25 % ninhydrin in acetone; then plate heated 15 min at 110 °C. Investigated: sulfuric, phosphoric, hydrochloric and acetic acid. Best results obtained with 1 N orthophosphoric acid - ethanol 1:3 (sensitivity and color differentiation).
Planta Med. 58, 239-244 (1992). Separation of neutral lipids on silica with cyclohexane – ethyl acetate 19:1 or 5:1. Separation of polar lipids on silica with ethyl acetate – methanol – water 81:11:8. Detection by spraying with anisaldehyde reagent. Also TLC of cardiotonic glycosides. Detection with Kedde reagent. Radio scanning of the neutral lipids.
J. Chin. Trad. Med. (Zhongguo Zhongyao Zazhi) 17, 217-219 (1992). TLC of ginsenosides, schisandrol A and B, tanshinone, and protocatechuic aldehyde on silica with 1) chloroform – ethyl acetate – methanol – water 15:40:22:10, 2) toluene – ethyl acetate 3:2 and 19:1, 3) chloroform – acetone – formic acid 8:1:1. Detection by spraying with 10 % sulfuric acid in ethanol and heating at 105 °C for 10 min. Discussion of the main active constituents in the drugs.
J. Planar Chromatogr. 4, 370-372 (1991). HPTLC of polidocanol (mixture of monolauryl ethers of polyethylene glycols) on silica with MEK - acetone 10:1, water saturated. Visualization by dipping the plates for one second into a solution of 2% potassium dichromate in 12% aqueous sulfuric acid. Quantification by densitometry in reflectance mode at 600 nm. CV =3.4% (n=10) and recovery rate 97.0 + 3.1% (n=8).
Analyst 118, 777-778 (1993). TLC of pyrethroid insecticides on silica with petrol ether (60-80°) - diethyl ether 9:1 or cyclohexane - toluene. Detection by exposure to bromine vapor for 15 s, spraying with 0.1 % o-tolidine reagent and exposure to UV radiation for 5 min or to sunlight for 2 min. Detection limit 0.25 - 1.00 µg.
Indian Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences 66 (1), 132-135, 2004. HPTLC of bacoside A in Bacopa monnieri and in its commercial monoherbal capsule formulation on silica gel 60 F254 aluminium sheet, 20 x 10 cm, with chloroform - methanol - water 30:15:1. Quantification by densitometry at 540 nm via linear regression in the range of 30 -180 µg/mL. Rf of Bacoside A was found to be 0.51. Validation regarding to accuracy, precision, specificity and recovery (97.4 – 100.1%). The proposed simple and sensitive method provides faster and cost effective qualitative control for routine analysis of bacoside A in formulations containing Bacopa monnieri saponins.
