The Cumulative CAMAG Bibliography Service CCBS contains all abstracts of CBS issues beginning with CBS 51. The database is updated after the publication of every other CBS edition. Quantification by densitometry at 430 nm and a reference wavelength of 540 nm. Detection limit in the lower nanogram range (5 - 10 ng).

      Analysis of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons

      CBS 83, 6-7 (1999). HPTLC-AMD of PAHs in liver and lung of animals exposed to contaminated soil on RP-18 with a 14-step gradient from acetonitrile to methanol - water 9:1. Quantification by fluorescence measurement at 313/>400 nm and 254/>400 nm, respectively. Strict linearity (r2 > 0.99 on 5 measuring points) was proven. Coefficient of variation was found to be < 5 %, and recoveries between 55 and 70 % were given. Limits of detection was determined to be 0.2 to 2 ng/g sample.

HPTLC of pesticides (prochloraz, chloroxuron, chlorotoluron, metoxuron, chlorbromuron, cyanazine, flamprop-M-isopropyl, prometryn, permethrin, bitertanol, hexazinone, chlorsulfuron, methabenzthiazuron, phenmedipham, metiocarb, dichlofluanid, propachlor, procymidone, terbuthylazine, propyzamide, tri-allate, bifenthrin) on silica gel, RP-18 W, RP-18, and cyano phases in a horizontal chamber. In adsorbent-gradient TLC silica gel plates were used in the first direction with tetrahydrofuran - n-heptane 1:4. After drying, the plates were cut in narrow strips and connected with RP-18 W or cyano plates, the pesticides were transferred to the before mentioned plates with methanol and developed in the second dimension with water - methanol or water - dioxane. Detection under UV light at 254 or 366 nm. Quantitative determination by densitometry at 254 nm.
