The Cumulative CAMAG Bibliography Service CCBS contains all abstracts of CBS issues beginning with CBS 51. The database is updated after the publication of every other CBS edition. Currently the Cumulative CAMAG Bibliography Service includes more than 11'000 abstracts of publications between 1983 and today. Shenghua Heji compound oral liquid is a herbal TCM preparation for treatment of postpartum blood circulation, promote uterine contraction, removing blood stasis. For quality control, TLC 1) for Angelica sinensis, on silica gel with benzene – ethyl acetate – glacial acetic acid 2:1:1, detection under UV 254 nm; 2) for Rhizoma chuanxiong, Semen persicae, Glycyrrhizae and the standard ferulic acid, on silica gel with benzene – glacial acetic acid – methanol 30:2:3, detection under UV 366 nm and after spraying with 1 % ferric chloride – 1 % potassium ferricyanide 1:1 in daylight; 3) for Rhizoma chuanxiong and the standard ferulic acid, on neutral alumina layer with petroleum ether (60-90 °C) – chloroform 1:1, detection by spraying with 5 % potassium iodobismuthate in water – hydrochloric acid 200:1 and viewing in daylight.
Chinese J. of Med. Guide 10 (17), 98-99 (2012). Banlian Chongji electuary is herbal TCM preparation for the treatment of virus flu and upper respiratory infections. For quality control the indirubin and indigo contents are determined by TLC on silica gel with petroleum ether (60-90 °C) – ethyl acetate – chloroform 1:1:8. Detection in daylight, quantification by densitometry at 290 nm. The linearity was in the range of 0.1-0.5 µg/zone (n=5, r=0.9999) both for indirubin and indigo. The precision (%RSD, n=5) was 1.2 % for indirubin and 2.2 % for indigo. Recovery by standard addition was 95.5 % (%RSD=4.5 %, n=5) for indirubin, and 96.0 % (RSD%=2.9 %, n=5) for indigo.
Chinese J. of Inform. on TCM 19 (7), 46-48 (2012). Tiaojing Huayu Wan pills are a herbal TCM preparation for treatment of menstrual disorders, menstrual abdominal pain, amenorrhea caused by vital energy stagnation and blood stasis. For quality control, TLC on silica gel 1) for Rhizoma Cyperi, with benzene – ethyl acetate – glacial acetic acid 92:5:5, detection under UV 254 nm; 2) for Radix Angelicae Sinensis, Rhizoma Ligustici Chuanxiong, and the standard ferulic acid with benzene – ethyl acetate – formic acid 40:10:1, detection under UV 366 nm. Quantification of paeoniflorin by HPLC.
J. Liq. Chromatogr. Relat. Technol. 37, 829-840 (2014). HPTLC of 16 alpha adrenergic and imidazoline receptor ligands on RP-18 and CN phases with methanol - water for RP-18 and tetrahydrofuran - ammonia - water for RP-18 and CN. A quantitative structure-retention relationship study allowed to investigate the retention behavior of these substances.
J. Planar Chromatogr. 27, 192-198 (2014). HPTLC of losartan (1), irbesartan (2), valsartan (3), and_x000D_ olmesartan (4) in plasma and dosage form on silica gel with chloroform - glacial acetic acid 3:1. Quantitative determination by absorbance measurement at 255 nm. The hRF values for (1) to (4) were 36, 45, 78 and 23, respectively. Linearity was in the range of 90-750 ng/zone for compounds (1) to (4). The intermediate/interday/intra-day precisions were below 3 % (n=6). The LOD and LOQ were 30 and 91 ng/zone for (1), 18 and 56 ng/zone for (2), 15 and 45 ng/zone for (3) and 30 and 92 ng/zone for (4), respectively. Recovery was between 96.4 and 99.5 % for (1) to (4).
J. of Xinjiang Trad. Chinese Med. 31 (4), 77-79 (2013). Conger Pian tablet is a herbal TCM for treating sensorineural hearing loss. For quality control, TLC on silica gel 1) for Ligusticum chuanxiong and the standard ferulic acid, with n-hexane – ethyl acetate 9:1, detection under UV 366 nm; 2) for Cornus officinalis Sieb. et Zucc. and the standard ursolic acid, with cyclohexane – chloroform - ethyl acetate 20:5:8, detection by spraying with 10 % sulfuric acid in ethanol and heating at 105 ˚C until the zones are visible in daylight. Quantification of icariin by HPLC.
J. Liq. Chromatogr. Relat. Technol. 37, 1568-1582 (2014). HPTLC of artesunate (1) and amodiaquine (2) on silica gel with acetonitrile – water – ammonia 40:7:2. Quantitative determination by absorbance measurement at 366 nm. The hRf values for (1) and (2) were 44 and 50, respectively. Linearity was in the range of 100-600 ng/zone for (1) and 50-300 ng/zone for (2). The intermediate/interday/intra-day precisions were below 2 % (n=9). The LOD and LOQ were 25 and 60 ng/zone for (1) and 12 and 30 ng/zone for (2), respectively. Recovery was 98.1-99.9 % for (1) and 99.3-100.9 % for (2).

For quality control, TLC on silica gel 1) for Lobed Kudzuvine root and Pueraria lobata, with the upper phase of toluene – ethyl acetate – formic acid 5:3:1, detection under UV 366 nm; 2) for Hovenia acerba Lindl., with the upper phase of n-hexane – ethyl acetate – ethanol – ammonia 14:8:2:1, detection under UV 366 nm. Quantification of chlorogenic acid by HPLC.
