The Cumulative CAMAG Bibliography Service CCBS contains all abstracts of CBS issues beginning with CBS 51. The database is updated after the publication of every other CBS edition. Currently the Cumulative CAMAG Bibliography Service includes more than 11'000 abstracts of publications between 1983 and today. With the online version you can perform your own detailed TLC/HPTLC literature search:

J. Liquid Chromatogr. 13, 1991-2000 (1990). OPLC on silica with methanol - acetonitrile - 0.2M NH3 130:68:2. Quantification by fluorescence densitometry at 348 nm. Detection limit 10 ng or 0.1 µg/mL of plasma for quinine and quinidine; 5 ng or 0.05 µg/mL of plasma for hydroquinidine.
(Mentha oils. Enantioselective analysis of menthyl acetate for qualitative identification of mentha oils.) Deutsche Apotheker Zeitung 130, 2579-2581 (1990). TLC of (-)menthyl acetate, (+)-(S)-menthyl acetate on silica with dichloromethane. Detection by spraying with anisaldehyde reagent and heating for 5 min at 105°C.
J. Liquid Chromatogr. 13, 1091-1103 (1990). TLC of several chiral aromatic amino alcohols on silica or diol-bonded silica with a mobile phase containing (IR)-(-)-ammonium-10-camphorsulfonate or N-benzoxycarbonyl-glycyl-L-proline (ZGP). Comparison between various N-CBZ-amino acid derivatives as chiral counter ions/chiral mobile phase additives.
Phytochemistry 30, 3401-3404 (1991). Partial hydrolysis of triterpene saponins using a 2D HPTLC method. Separation of the saponins on silica with chloroform - methanol - water 14:16:1 (first direction, followed by treatment of the plates with HCl vapors for 4 min. Development of the chromatogram in the second direction with chloroform - methanol - water (7:3:1, lower layer) - acetic acid 9:1. Detection by spraying with aniline - ortho-phthalic acid - butanol 2:3:200. Elegant and fast method for the “in situ” hydrolysis of saponins in crude plant extracts. See also: W. Magyar Kémiai Folyóirat 97, 225-228 (1991). TLC of N-methyl-(2-isopropyloxy-phenyl)-carbamate on silica or C-18 silica with hexane - ethyl acetate 4:1, hexane - ethyl acetate - acetone 8:2:2 or methanol - water 3:1. Detection by spraying with 6% ethanolic KOH, 4-nitrobenzene-diazonium fluoroborate with 10% polyethyleneglykol in ethanol.

TLC of 2-methylenecephalosporins and 2-spirocyclopropyl-cephalosporins on silica with benzene - ethyl acetate 1:1, benzene - ethyl acetate - acetic acid 7:3:1, hexane - ethyl acetate 1:1, chloroform - ether 3:2 or 9:1. Detection under UV and by spraying with ammonium molybdate.
J. Planar Chromatogr. 4, 169-171 (1991). TLC separation of 1-(2-pyrimidy)-3-methylpyrazolon and 6 cleavage products on silanized silica with ethyl acetate - ether - methanol - 35% NH3. Detection by exposure to iodine vapor.
J. Planar Chromatogr. 5, 16-27 (1992). TLC of estrogens (estrone, equilin, equilenin, 17 a & ß-dihydroequilin, 17 a & ß-dihydroequilenin, estriol) on silica, C-2, C-8, C-18, NH2- and diol-modified, with different eluents in one- and two-dimensional separations. The optimized mobile phase based on cyclohexane and ethyl acetate provided best separation of estrogens containing C-17 hydroxy group epimers, those with a C-17 keto group were only separated in mobile phases containing triethylamine (or on NH2-layers in the absence of triethylamine). 2,4-dinitrophenylhydrazones of C-17-keto group estrogens enable their selective detection at 366/>400 nm.
