Cumulative CAMAG Bibliography Service CCBS
Our CCBS database includes more than 11,000 abstracts of publications. Perform your own detailed search of TLC/HPTLC literature and find relevant information.
The Cumulative CAMAG Bibliography Service CCBS contains all abstracts of CBS issues beginning with CBS 51. The database is updated after the publication of every other CBS edition. Currently the Cumulative CAMAG Bibliography Service includes more than 11'000 abstracts of publications between 1983 and today. With the online version you can perform your own detailed TLC/HPTLC literature search:
- Full text search: Enter a keyword, e.g. an author's name, a substance, a technique, a reagent or a term and see all related publications
- Browse and search by CBS classification: Select one of the 38 CBS classification categories where you want to search by a keyword
- Keyword register: select an initial character and browse associated keywords
- Search by CBS edition: Select a CBS edition and find all related publications
Registered users can create a tailor made PDF of selected articles throughout CCBS search – simply use the cart icon on the right hand of each abstract to create your individual selection of abstracts. You can export your saved items to PDF by clicking the download icon.
Planta med. 70, 152-159 (2004). Analytical HPTLC on silica gel RP-18 and preparative TLC on silica gel of piperine, piperamine, piperlonguminine, and methyl piperate with n-hexane - ethyl acetate 1:1. Detection by spraying with 1 % cerium sulfate - 10 % aqueous sulfuric acid followed by heating on a plate heater.
CBS 87, 4-5 (2001). HPTLC on silica gel with ethyl acetate - chloroform - methanol 6:4:1. Detection by dipping in fluorescamine solution. Quantitative determination by fluorescence measurement at 365/>400 nm.
J. Chinese Trad. Patent Med. (Zhongchengyao) 25 (8), 651-653 (2004). TLC on silica gel with n-butanol - ethyl acetate - ammonia 10% 4:1:5. Detection by spraying with 10 % H2SO4 in ethanol and heating at 105 ºC for 5-7 min. Identification by standard comparison. Quantification by densitometry at 530 nm. Validation of the procedure by investigation of its precision, specificity, repeatability, reproducibility, recovery, etc. Determination of the title compound in the extracts from five batches of the drug.
J. Pharm. Biomed. Anal. 36, 33-41 (2004). A sensitive selective, precise and robust HPTLC method for the analysis of E and Z stereoisomers of guggulsterone (the hypolipidemic agent in the gum-resin exudates of Commiphora mukul) both as a bulk drug and in formulations was developed and validated. Separation on silica gel with toluene - acetone 9:1. Quantitative determination by absorbance measurement at 250 nm. This system was found to give compact spots for E- and Z-guggulsterone (Rf value of 0.38 ± 0.02 and 0.46 ± 0.02 respectively) following double development with the same mobile phase. Both E- and Z-guggulsterone showed good linearity in the concentration range of 100-6000 ng/spot. The method was validated for precision, robustness, recovery, and specificity. The proposed HPTLC method is suitable for the identification and quantitation of these isomers in herbal extracts and pharmaceutical dosage forms.
Chinese J. Trad. Patent Med. (Zhongchengyao) 26 (4), Appendix 2-5 (2004). TLC of Lidan capsule extracts on silica gel with 1) ethyl acetate - butanone - formic acid - water 5:3:1:1; 2) chloroform - methanol - water 30:10:1; 3) petroleum ether (60-90 ºC) - ethyl acetate - benzene 14:3:3; 4) n-hexane - chloroform - methanol 15:8:2. Detection 1) by spraying with 1 % FeCI3 in ethanol; 2) by spraying with a solution of P-dimethylaminobenzaldehyde - ethanol - H2SO4 1:100:10; 3) by spraying with 5 % vanillin - H2SO4 solution followed by heating; 4) by exposing to iodine vapor. Identification by fingerprint technique. Quantification of emodin and chrysophanol by HPLC.
Chinese J. Trad. Patent Med. (Zhongchengyao) 26 (5), 374-376 (2004). TLC of Qingdai powder extract on silica gel with 1) benzene - chloroform - acetone 5:4:1; 2) petroleum ether (60-90 ºC) - benzene - ethyl acetate 9:2:1; 3) benzene - ethyl acetate - isopropanol - methanol - water 60:30:10:50:15:3; 4) petroleum ether (30-60 ºC) - benzene - ethyl acetate - glacial acetic acid 20:40:14:1. Detection 1) under day light; 2) by spraying with 5 % vanillin-H2SO4 solution and heating at 105 ºC ; 3) under UV 365 nm; 4) under UV 254 nm. Identification by fingerprint techniques. Quantification of indigo by HPLC with method validation.
J. Planar Chromatogr. 17, 388-390 (2004). HPTLC of uroporphyrins I and III, coproporphyrins I and III, and protoporphyrin on silica gel with binary mobile phases prepared by mixing pure esters, ketones, and xylenes with DMSO in proportions from 0 to 100 %. Detection under UV light at 254 nm. The separation of the porphyrins required the presence of DMSO in the mobile phase.
IPC 56th 2004, Abstract No. DP-33. An HPTLC method is reported for the standardization of Trikatukuc Curanam, an Ayurvedic preparation with Piper nigrum and Piper longum, both containing piperine as major alkaloid. HPTLC of piperine on silica gel with toluene - ethyl acetate 7:3 .Extraction with methylene chloride, the evaporated residue of the organic layer was taken in ethyl acetate and subjected to the analysis. The band corresponding to piperine was scanned at 338 nm. Linearity was 8-40 ng with recovery of 99.03 %.
