Cumulative CAMAG Bibliography Service CCBS
Our CCBS database includes more than 11,000 abstracts of publications. Perform your own detailed search of TLC/HPTLC literature and find relevant information.
The Cumulative CAMAG Bibliography Service CCBS contains all abstracts of CBS issues beginning with CBS 51. The database is updated after the publication of every other CBS edition. Currently the Cumulative CAMAG Bibliography Service includes more than 11'000 abstracts of publications between 1983 and today. With the online version you can perform your own detailed TLC/HPTLC literature search:
- Full text search: Enter a keyword, e.g. an author's name, a substance, a technique, a reagent or a term and see all related publications
- Browse and search by CBS classification: Select one of the 38 CBS classification categories where you want to search by a keyword
- Keyword register: select an initial character and browse associated keywords
- Search by CBS edition: Select a CBS edition and find all related publications
Registered users can create a tailor made PDF of selected articles throughout CCBS search – simply use the cart icon on the right hand of each abstract to create your individual selection of abstracts. You can export your saved items to PDF by clicking the download icon.
J. Pharm. Biomed. Anal. 36, 33-41 (2004). A sensitive selective, precise and robust HPTLC method for the analysis of E and Z stereoisomers of guggulsterone (the hypolipidemic agent in the gum-resin exudates of Commiphora mukul) both as a bulk drug and in formulations was developed and validated. Separation on silica gel with toluene - acetone 9:1. Quantitative determination by absorbance measurement at 250 nm. This system was found to give compact spots for E- and Z-guggulsterone (Rf value of 0.38 ± 0.02 and 0.46 ± 0.02 respectively) following double development with the same mobile phase. Both E- and Z-guggulsterone showed good linearity in the concentration range of 100-6000 ng/spot. The method was validated for precision, robustness, recovery, and specificity. The proposed HPTLC method is suitable for the identification and quantitation of these isomers in herbal extracts and pharmaceutical dosage forms.
C. Wuex L. D. Chou et S. M. Hwang and Rubia cordifolia L by thin-layer chromatography.) (Chinese). Chinese J. Trad. Patent Med. (Zhongchengyao) 26 (3), 238-239 (2004). TLC of the extracts of Aristolochia fangchi and Rubia cordifolia on silica gel with 1) toluene - ethyl acetate - methanol - formic acid 20:10:1:1; 2) benzene - acetone - formic acid 32:8:1; 3) ethyl acetate - methanol - water - ammonia 30:5:1:2. Detection 1) under UV 254 nm and 365 nm; 2) by spraying with 5 % AlCl3 in ethanol. Identification by fingerprint technique.
Indian Drugs 41 (5), 300-302 (2004). Validated HPTLC method for the estimation of stavudine in capsules on silica gel with toluene - methanol 3:1. Quantitative determination by absorbance measurement at 270 nm. The linearity range of stavudine was 1.4 µg to 3.7 µg. The amount of stavudine estimated was 40.08 mg and 40.01 mg (calculated by peak height and peak area respecively) in the average weight capsule. Recovery was 99.67 % and 99.26 % calculated by peak height and peak area respectively. The proposed method is accurate, precise, selective, and reproducible and can be used for the routine analysis of stavudine.
J. Planar Chromatogr. 17, 169-172 (2004). HPTLC of omeprazole and pantoprazole and their impurities omeprazole sulfone and N-methylpantoprazole on silica gel with chloroform - 2-propanol - 25 % ammonia - acetonitrile (108:12:3:40). Detection under UV light at 254 nm. Quantitation of omeprazole and omeprazole sulfone at 300 nm and of pantoprazole and N-methylpantoprazole at 295 nm in reflectance-absorbance mode. Regression coefficients (r > 0.998), recovery (90.7 - 120.0 %), and detection limits (0.025 - 0.05 %) were validated and found to be satisfactory.
seed and the phoney, Xanthium Spinosam L. seed) (Chinese). Chinese J. Hosp. Pharm. (Zhongguo Yiyuan yaoxue Zazhi) 25 (2), 185-187 (2005). HPTLC on silica gel with n-butanol - glacial acetic acid - water 4:1:5. Detection by exposing to ammonia vapours. Identification by fingerprint technique combined with morphological differentiation and UV spectra comparison.
IPC 56th 2004, Abstract No. G-18. Curculigo Orchioides (Amary llidaceae) is used in various ayurvedic formulations. The rhizomes contain about 5.78 % total phenolis, gallic acid being the major component of the alcoholic extracts. HPTLC of gallic acid on silica gel with toluene - ethyl acetate - glacial acetic acid 25:15:1. The Rf valueof gallic acid was 0.19, the linearity range of 150-750 ng/spot. Rhizomes were found to contain 2.54 % gallic acid, formulations contained 5.13 % gallic acid, recovery was 99.5 %.
An improved analytical procedure. J. Planar Chromatogr. 17, 173-176 (2004). TLC of R,S-(+-)-ibuprofen and S-(+)-ibuprofen on silica gel prewashed with methanol - water 9:1 and impregnated with L-arginine by conventional dipping for 2 s in a 0.03 mol/L solution of the compound in methanol. One-dimensional development with acetonitrile - methanol - water 5:1:1 plus several drops of acetic acid to adjust the pH to 4.8, and two-dimensional chromatography with the same solvent mixture in two directions. Quantitation by densitometry at 210 nm.
J. Planar Chromatogr. 18, 61-66 (2005). TLC of three antidiabetic agents (pioglitazone, rosiglitazone, and repaglinide) on silica gel RP-8 with buffer - organic modifier binary mobile phases of widely different compositon in horizontal chambers; visualization under UV light at 254 nm. Peak-purity tests by recording the in-situ spectra in the wavelength range of 200 to 400 nm.
