      Simultaneous estimation of ginkgo biloba and ginseng from pharmaceutical solid dosage form by HPTLC

Densitometric evaluation of ginkgo biloba extract by absorbance measurement at 254 nm. The same plate was used for the quantitative determination of ginseng at 520 nm after spraying with ninhydrin reagent. A simple, fast and precise HPTLC method has been developed for the simultaneous determination of ginkgo biloba and ginseng in solid dosage form.

Type HP20 macroporous resin has been concluded to be the optimum for active fraction of the recipe in purification efficiency.
