The Cumulative CAMAG Bibliography Service CCBS contains all abstracts of CBS issues beginning with CBS 51. The database is updated after the publication of every other CBS edition. Currently the Cumulative CAMAG Bibliography Service includes more than 11'000 abstracts of publications between 1983 and today. With the online version you can perform your own detailed TLC/HPTLC literature search:

TLC of the ingredients of glycyrrhetic acid and paeoniflorin on silica with 1) petrol ether - ethyl acetate - chloroform 10:7:8, 2) chloroform - ether - methanol 10:20:3, 3) chloroform - methanol -ethyl acetate 14:10:3, 4) chloroform - methanol -water 8:3:1, 5) petrol ether - benzene - ethyl acetate - acetic acid 20:40:14:1. Detection by spraying with 2 mol/L sulfuric acid in ethanol, and heating at 105 °C for 5 min., or by exposing to iodine vapor, or by spraying with 10% vanillin in ethanol, or under UV. Quantification of total alkaloids by volumetry, and of glycyrrhetic acid and paeoniflorin by densitometry.
J. Planar Chromatogr. 9, 382-387 (1996). TLC of oxazepam, diazepam, nitrazepam, chlordiazepoxide, and medazepam on silica with 6 different mobile phases and on RP-18 with 7 different mobile phases. Visualization under UV 254 nm, by spraying with 2% ethanolic dinitrobenzene solution and after drying with 10% ethanolic sodium hydroxide solution, by exposure to HCl vapor, by placing the plate into a cooled TLC chamber with nitrous gases, or by spraying with Dragendorff's reagent. Quantification by densitometry. Best separation on RP-18 with methanol - pH 3.0 acetate buffer 3:1, detection under UV 254 nm. Detection limits for diazepam and nitrazepam 0.005 mg/mL.
Indian Drugs 34 (9), 512-519 (1997). HPTLC on silica gel with methanol - water - NH3 18:2:1. Ofloxacin was used as internal standard. Densitometry at 280 nm.
Acta Chromatographica 14, 70-81 (2004) .TLC of thiamine (B1), riboflavin (B2), niacin (B3), pyridoxine (B6), cobalamin (B12) ascorbic acid (C) and folic acid on silica gel and chemical bonded silica gel with 14 mobile phases, three of which giving the best separation: 1) 1-butanol - chloroform - acetic acid - ammonia - water 7:4:5:1:1, 2) benzene - methanol - acetone - acetic acid 14:4:1:1, 3) chloroform - ethanol - acetone - ammonia 2:2:1:1. Detection in visible light, under UV light at 254 nm and 366 nm. Evaluation of other detection methods such as spraying with 0.5 % ether solution of iodine - Dragendorff reagent for B1, 1 % methanol solution of 1-chloro-2,4-dinitrobenzene followed by 3 M NaOH for B3 and B6, 0.4 % methanol solution of 2,6-dichloroquinone-4-chloroimide for B6, 1:1 mixture of 2 % H2SO4 - EtOH and 0.2 % ethanol solution of p-dimethylaminocinnaldehyde for biotin. Quantification by videodensitometry. Discussion of identification of vitamins in biological samples by using different visualization method in combination with Rf values.
J. Chinese Trad. Patent Med. (Zhongchengyao) 11, 874-877 (2004). TLC on silica gel with 1) ethyl acetate - butanone - formic acid - water 5:3:1:1, 2) 2-fold development with ethyl acetate - methanol - water 100:17:13 and toluene - ethyl acetate - formic acid - water 20:10:1:1, 3) chloroform - ethyl acetate - methanol - formic acid 200:25:50:1. Detection 1) by spraying with 1 % FeCI3 in ethanol, 2) by spraying with 3 % AICl3 in ethanol and under UV 365 nm, 3) by spraying with 10 % H2SO4 in ethanol and heating. Identification by fingerprint techniques. Quantitative determination of mentholum, borneolum syntheticum by GC.
CBS 85, 14-15 (2000). HPTLC on silica gel with ethyl acetate - formic acid - water 45:5:3. Detection by spraying with dichloroquinonechlorimide followed by spraying with 10 % aqueous sodium carbonate solution. Visual evaluation.

Detection by spraying with 10 % H2SO4 in ethanol and heating at 105 ºC. Identification by standard comparison. Quantification of cholic acid by densitometry.
littorale. J. Planar Chromatogr. 17, 128-131 (2004). HPTLC of the secoiridoid glucoside swertiamarin on silica gel with ethyl acetate - methanol - water 77:15:5 after pre-saturation for 30 min. Quantitative determination at 250 nm. The method was validated for precision, repeatability, and accuracy and found to be precise.
