The Cumulative CAMAG Bibliography Service CCBS contains all abstracts of CBS issues beginning with CBS 51. The database is updated after the publication of every other CBS edition. Currently the Cumulative CAMAG Bibliography Service includes more than 11'000 abstracts of publications between 1983 and today. With the online version you can perform your own detailed TLC/HPTLC literature search:

Rev. Bras. Farmacogn. 26, 161-167 (2016). HPTLC of barbaloin in Aloe vera on silica gel with ethyl acetate – methanol – water 200:33:27. Detection by spraying with 100 mL of 10 % alcoholic potassium hydroxide solution. Quantitative determination by absorbance measurement at 366 nm. The hRF value of barbaloin was 40. Linearity was in the range of 300-1500 ng/zone. Intermediate precisions were below 2 %. The LOD and LOQ were 50 ng/zone and 150 ng/zone. Average recovery was 98.9 %.
Food Control. 71, 234-241 (2017). HPTLC of residual aflatoxin B1 after biological detoxification on silica gel with chloroform – ethyl acetate 4:1. Quantitative determination by absorbance measurement at 365 nm.
J. Planar Chromatogr. 29, 132-139 (2016). HPTLC of ambroxol hydrochloride (1) and doxofylline (2) on silica gel with ether – n-butanol – ammonia 90:9:1. Quantitative determination by absorbance measurement at 276 nm. The hRF values for (1) and (2) were 74 and 41, respectively. Linearity was between 20-100 ng/zone for (1) and 100-500 ng/zone for (2). The intermediate precision was below 1 % (n=3). The LOD and LOQ for (1) and (2) was 1 and 4 ng/zone and 31 and 93 ng/zone, respectively. Recovery ranged between 99.3-101.1 % for (1) and 97.8-101.2 % for (2).
J. Planar Chromatogr. 29, 423-428 (2016). HPTLC of lupeol (1) and ursolic acid (2) in the leaves of Bauhinia purpurea L., Bauhinia variegata L., Bauhinia acuminata L., and Bauhinia tomentosa L. on silica gel with toluene – ethyl acetate – formic acid 80:20:1. Detection by dipping into anisaldehyde – sulfuric acid reagent followed by heating at 40 °C for 3 min. Quantitative determination by absorbance measurement at 550 nm for (1) and 522 nm for (2). The hRF values for (1) and (2) were 46 and 68, respectively. Linearity was between 100 and 600 ng/zone for (1) and (2). The intermediate precisions were below 1.5 % (n=3). The LODs and LOQs were 40 and 100 ng/zone for (1) and 35 and 100 ng for (2). Recoveries were between 97.1 and 100.0 % for (1) and 98.0 and 99.2 % for (2).
J. Ethnopharmacol. 189, 139-147 (2016). HPTLC of piperine and piperyline in the fruits of Piper nigrum on silica gel with n-hexane – ethyl acetate 7:3. The hRF values for piperine and piperyline were 50 and 25, respectively.
J. of Modern Trad. Chinese Med. 16 (2), 144-150 (2014). Shushenling Jiaonang capsule is a herbal TCM for the treatment of neurasthenia, neurosis, menopausal syndrome, etc. For quality control, TLC (1) for Salvia miltiorrhiza, on silica gel with toluene – ethyl acetate 19:1, detection under white light; (2) Schisandra chinensis, on silica gel with petroleum ether (30-60 ºC) – ethyl formate – formic acid 15:5:1, detection under UV 254 nm; (3) for Glycyrrhiza uralensis, on silica gel with toluene – ethyl acetate – methanol 7:3:1, detection by spraying with 10 % sulfuric acid in ethanol and heating at 105 ºC until the zones are clearly visualized, evaluation under white light; (4) Panax ginseng, on silica gel with chloroform – methanol – water 13:7:2, detection by spraying with 10 % sulfuric acid in ethanol and heating at 105 ºC until the zones are clearly visualized, evaluation under white light.
Part II: Remijia ferruginea. Rev. Bras. Farmacogn. 27, 153-157 (2017). HPTLC fingerprint of Remijia ferruginea on silica gel with ethyl acetate – toluene – formic acid – water 12:4:4:3. Detection by spraying with natural product reagent, followed by PEG reagent. The hRF values for rutin, chlorogenic acid and cinchonine were 50, 60 and 65, respectively.

J. Planar Chromatogr. 30, 199-204 (2017). HPTLC of sophoridine (1), matrine (2), and sophocarpine (3) in S. alopecuroides on silica gel with toluene – acetone – methanol – ammonia – water 80:30:2:5:80. Detection by spraying with bismuth potassium iodide reagent (1:1 mixture of 0.85 g of bismuth nitrate with 10 mL of glacial acetic acid and 40 mL of water, heated for dissolution, and 8 g of potassium iodide in 30 mL of water). Quantitative determination by absorbance measurement at 500 nm. The hRF values for (1) to (3) were 22, 56 and 65, respectively. Linearity ranged from 415-2491 ng/zone for (1), 424-2547 ng/zone for (2) and 410-2460 ng/zone for (3). The intermediate precision was <5 % (n=3). Recovery rate ranged from 97.8 to 98.9 % for (1), 98.3 to 100.9 % for (2) and 99.1 to 101.2 % for (3).
