Cumulative CAMAG Bibliography Service CCBS
Our CCBS database includes more than 11,000 abstracts of publications. Perform your own detailed search of TLC/HPTLC literature and find relevant information.
The Cumulative CAMAG Bibliography Service CCBS contains all abstracts of CBS issues beginning with CBS 51. The database is updated after the publication of every other CBS edition. Currently the Cumulative CAMAG Bibliography Service includes more than 11'000 abstracts of publications between 1983 and today. With the online version you can perform your own detailed TLC/HPTLC literature search:
- Full text search: Enter a keyword, e.g. an author's name, a substance, a technique, a reagent or a term and see all related publications
- Browse and search by CBS classification: Select one of the 38 CBS classification categories where you want to search by a keyword
- Keyword register: select an initial character and browse associated keywords
- Search by CBS edition: Select a CBS edition and find all related publications
Registered users can create a tailor made PDF of selected articles throughout CCBS search – simply use the cart icon on the right hand of each abstract to create your individual selection of abstracts. You can export your saved items to PDF by clicking the download icon.
J.A.O.A.C. 70, 197-200 (1967). TLC separation of 20 antibiotics on silica with chloroform - methanol - acetone - glycerine 49:30:20:1; water - methanol - n-butanol - acetic acid 36:30:15:9 or on cellulose with acetone - chloroform - n-propanol impregnation liquid (0.1 N phthalate buffer pH 3.75 and glycerine 19:1). Detection by placing the developed plates on set medium seeded with Bacillus subtilis and thus producing a biosutograph. Detection limits between 0.08 and 600 ng/g.
J. Chromatogr. 408, 449-452 (1987). Two-dimensional TLC on polyamide with 1) 5% acetic acid in water and 2) benzene - heptane - acetic acid 7:2:1. Detection by UV.
Phytochemistry 27, 171-177 (1988). Separation of complex mixtures of highly oxygenated flavonols by TLC on cellulose with t-butanol - acetic acid - water 3:1:1 or 15% aq. acetic acid. Detection with natural dye reagent A and under UV 254/366 nm. Rf values and colors of numerous flavonoids are given. Also column chromatography for the preparative separations.
Journal of Natural Products 50, 253- 255 (1987). TLC on silica with chloroform - methanol 85:15. Detection by spraying with vanillin-sulfuric acid reagent and heating for 10 min. at 100 °C. An acidic hydrolysis fraction of feruginidin and ferugin was identified as p-hydroxybenzoic acid.
Journal of Natural Products 50, 375-380 (1987). TLC of (+)-2-northalrugosine, (+)-bisnorobamegine, (+)-bisnorthalrugosine and (+)-pycnazanthine on silica with acetonitrile - benzene - ethyl acetate - NH3 40:30:20:10 and one other system. Detection with Dragendorff’s reagent or with FeCl3 (1 mL 0.5M) in perchloric acid (35%, 50 mL) and heating.
J.A.O.A.C. 70, 691-697 (1987). TLC of 4 macrolide antibiotics (erythromycin, tylosin, oleandomycin, spiramycin) on silica with n-butanol - water - acetic acid 60:20:20. Detection after reacting with xanthydrol, limit 0.02 mg/kg. Quantification of results by bioautography using Bacillus subtilis.

TLC identification method for 277 drugs via principal components (PC) analysis of standardized Rf-values in four eluent systems (ethyl acetate - methanol - 30% NH3 85:10:15:, cyclohexane - toluene - diethyl amine 65:25:10, ethyl acetate - chloroform 50:50, and acetone. After chromatography, plate dipped in potassium hydroxide solution).
