The Cumulative CAMAG Bibliography Service CCBS contains all abstracts of CBS issues beginning with CBS 51. The database is updated after the publication of every other CBS edition. Currently the Cumulative CAMAG Bibliography Service includes more than 11'000 abstracts of publications between 1983 and today. With the online version you can perform your own detailed TLC/HPTLC literature search:

Planta Med. 57, 560-565 (1991). TLC of fourteen bufadienolides from a bulb extract of Urginea maritima on silica with chloroform - methanol - water 140:44:7 and ethyl acetate - methanol - water 81:11:8. Also HPTLC on RP-2 with methanol - water 1:1. Detection by spraying with anisaldehyde/sulfuric acid. Excellent separation of cardiotonic glycosides on RP-2 HPTLC plates. Also CC and HPLC.
J. Planar Chromatogr. 3, 429-430 (1990). TLC of vitamin A derivatives (all-trans retinal, all-trans retinic acid, vitamin A acetate, vitamin A palmitate) on silica RP-2 and Kieselguhr impregnated with 10% paraffin in cyclohexane with methanol - water 19:1. Detection under UV 254 nm.
J. Planar Chromatogr. 4, 246-250 (1991). HPTLC of benzodiazepines, 3,4-methylenedioxyamphetamine, N-methyl-3,4-methylenedioxyamphetamine, N-ethyl-3,4-methylene-dioxyamphetamine) and caffeine on silica. Eluents for benzodiazepines: trichoromethane – acetone 8:2; MDA, MDMA, and MDE were developed with a 25 step AMD gradient employing toluene, 2-propanol, NH3, ether and ethanol; eluent for caffeine was dichloromethane – methanol 9:1. Detection by FTIR scanning.
Acta Alimentaria, 21, 11-21 (1992). TLC of nonpolar lipids, glycolipids and phospholipids on polyamide. Detection by exposure to iodine vapor. Quantitative determination by spraying with 45 % sulfuric acid and heating at 120 °C
Nachweis mittels DC. (Pure enantiomeric drugs. Identification by densitometry.) Deutsche Apotheker Zeitung 132, 947 –952 (1992). TLC of amino acids, a-methyl amino acids on chiral plates and RP-18 silica with methanol – water – acetonitrile 1:1:4 and 5:5:3, also with methanol – water 1:8 and acetone – methanol – water 10:2:2). Detection by spraying with 0,3% ninhydrin in acetone.
TLC in pharmacy: erythromycin. Deutsche Apotheker Zeitung 131, 2710-2711 (1991). TLC of erythromycin on silica with methanol – ethyl acetate 9:1. Visualization by spraying with ammonium-8-anilinonaphthaline-1-sulfonate, heating at 80 °C for some min and under UV 365 nm or by spraying with K2Cr2O7 – sulfuric acid reagent, heating at 90 °C for some min; observation under day light.
Planar Chromatogr. 4, 316-318 (1991). Separation of selected isomers by RPTLC and investigation of the dependence of Rf and RM values on the numerical values of topological indexes. TLC of a- and ß-naphthol and a- and ß-naphtylamine on Kieselguhr G impregnated with a 15% solution of paraffin oil in benzene; development with methanol - water 1:9, detection under UV 254 nm.
J. Planar Chromatogr. 4, 471-474 (1991). Analytical and preparative TLC on coumarins (e.g. imperatorin, isoimperatorin, oxypeucedanin, peucedanin) on silica with chloroform - ethyl acetate - chloroform - ethyl acetate - methanol stepwise gradient. Detection under UV 254 nm before and after spraying with 0.1% solution of iodine in KI and, separately, with a 5% methanolic potassium hydroxide solution. Preparative separation in specially made sandwich-type horizontal chambers (acc. to J.K. Ruminski).
