Cumulative CAMAG Bibliography Service CCBS
Our CCBS database includes more than 11,000 abstracts of publications. Perform your own detailed search of TLC/HPTLC literature and find relevant information.
The Cumulative CAMAG Bibliography Service CCBS contains all abstracts of CBS issues beginning with CBS 51. The database is updated after the publication of every other CBS edition. Currently the Cumulative CAMAG Bibliography Service includes more than 11'000 abstracts of publications between 1983 and today. With the online version you can perform your own detailed TLC/HPTLC literature search:
- Full text search: Enter a keyword, e.g. an author's name, a substance, a technique, a reagent or a term and see all related publications
- Browse and search by CBS classification: Select one of the 38 CBS classification categories where you want to search by a keyword
- Keyword register: select an initial character and browse associated keywords
- Search by CBS edition: Select a CBS edition and find all related publications
Registered users can create a tailor made PDF of selected articles throughout CCBS search – simply use the cart icon on the right hand of each abstract to create your individual selection of abstracts. You can export your saved items to PDF by clicking the download icon.
Planta Med. 71, 680-682 (2005). Analytical and preparative TLC of 5-hydroxy-2-methoxyxanthone, 2-hydroxy-3-methoxyxanthone, trans-kielcarin, 4-hydroxy-3-methoxyphenyl ferulate, and 3beta-O-caffeoylbetulinic acid on silica gel with chloroform - petroleum ether - formic acid 950:50:1, chloroform - acetone - formic acid 950:50:1, 900:100:1, and 850:150:1. Detection under UV light at 254 nm.
Acta Chrom. 12, 159-169 (2002) Acta Chrom. 12, 159-169 (2002) TLC of carbohydrates on LK5DF silica gel plates containing 19 lanes and a pre-adsorbent sample-application zone, prewashed with dichloromethane – methanol 1:1, with ethyl acetate – glacial acetic acid – methanol – water 12:3:3:2. Detection by spraying with alpha-naphthol–sulfuric acid sugar-detection reagent followed by heating at 110 ºC for 5 min. Densitometry of glucose and raffinose at 515 nm. HPTLC of amino acids with four different TLC systems: on silica gel with preadsorbent zone, on RP-18 with concentrating zone, on cellulose F with n-butanol – acetic acid – water 3:1:1, and on ion-exchange sheets with citrate buffer of pH 3.3 (84 g citric acid monohydrate, 16 g NaOH, and 5.9 mL HCl 37% per L). Detection by spraying with ninhydrin reagent, followed by drying in air for 30 min and heating for 10 min at 110 ºC. Quantification by densitometry at 495 nm for histidine and 610 nm for tryptophan.
J. Planar Chromatogr. 19, 467-468 (2006). TLC of carbaryl (1-naphthylmethylcarbamate), a common derivative of the widely used N-methylcarbamate insecticide, on silica gel with n-hexane - acetone 4:1 in a saturated twin-trough chamber. After drying the plate was heating at 100 °C for 5 min, cooled, and sprayed successively with 5 % sodium hydroxide solution and with a 1:1 mixture of 2 % diphenylamine solution and 5 % formaldehyde solution. Visual detection of the blue-green zones carbaryl.
LC-GC Europe, The Applications 19, (2006). HPTLC of Actaea racemosa (black cohosh) extracts on silica gel with toluene - ethyl formate - formic acid 5:3:2 with chamber saturation for 20 min and at a relative humidity of 5 % (automatic development chamber ADC2 with molecular sieve). Detection by dipping in sulfuric acid reagent (20 mL of sulfuric acid in 180 mL of methanol) followed by heating at 100 °C for 5 min. Evaluation under daylight and under UV 254 and 366 nm. The method is specific for identification of black cohosh and for discrimination from different species of common adulterants.
Chromatographia 65 (3-4), 239-243 (2007). Description of a novel TLC densitometric method for the determination of solasodine in various Solanum species (Solanaceae). Solasodine does not show UV absorption therefore TLC of an ion pair complex of solasodine with an acid dye was performed. TLC plates developed by using a solvent with an organic acid ensured in situ color development of the complex. Densitometry at 461 nm. Linearity was 79.2 - 495 ng/zone, with a correlation coefficient of 0.995. The method shows good reproducibility, specificity and accuracy (98.54 ± 2.8%), and eliminates post derivatization steps and the problem of background interference. Validation of the method and application of the method to determine solasodine content in various herb samples, herb extract and their formulations, without matrix interference observed.
J. Liq. Chromatogr. Relat. Technol. 28, 1765-1775 (2005). TLC of cholic acid, glycocholic acid, glycodeoxycholic acid, chenodeoxycholic acid, deoxycholic acid, lithocholic acid, and glycolithocholic acid, on RP-2 phase with methanol - water, organic mixture (acetonitrile - methanol 1:1) - water, acetone - water, dioxane - water in different volume compositions. Detection by dipping in 10 % ethanolic phosphomolybdic acid solution and heating at 120 °C for 20 min.
Studied by Different Chromatographic Techniques. Chromatographia 63 (Supplement 13), S81 - S86 (2006). TLC of isoquinoline alkaloids (chelidonine, chelerythrine, sanguinarine, coptisine and berberine) in Chelidonium plant organs on silica gel with chloroform - methanol 2:1, and methylene chloride - methanol 97:3. Quantification by densitometry at UV 254 nm. Detection is very sensitive because of fluorescence of alkaloids without purification. Comparison with HPLC, showing that the TLC methodis the most simple, accurate, reproducible and convenient analytical technique for fast investigations and routine determination of Chelidonium alkaloids.
