The Cumulative CAMAG Bibliography Service CCBS contains all abstracts of CBS issues beginning with CBS 51. The database is updated after the publication of every other CBS edition. Currently the Cumulative CAMAG Bibliography Service includes more than 11'000 abstracts of publications between 1983 and today. With the online version you can perform your own detailed TLC/HPTLC literature search:
- Full text search: Enter a keyword, e.g. an author's name, a substance, a technique, a reagent or a term and see all related publications
- Browse and search by CBS classification: Select one of the 38 CBS classification categories where you want to search by a keyword
- Keyword register: select an initial character and browse associated keywords
- Search by CBS edition: Select a CBS edition and find all related publications
Registered users can create a tailor made PDF of selected articles throughout CCBS search – simply use the cart icon on the right hand of each abstract to create your individual selection of abstracts. You can export your saved items to PDF by clicking the download icon.

Helv. Chim. Acta 72, 668-674 (1989). TLC of saponins with molluscicidal activity on silica with ethyl acetate - methanol - water 17:2:1 and HPTLC on RP-8 with methanol - water 7:3. Detection with Godin reagent. TLC of saponin hydrolysate on silica with ethyl acetate - methanol - water - acetic acid 65:15:15:20 and on cellulose with ethyl acetate - pyridine - acetic acid - water 5:5:1:3. Detection of sugar by spraying with p-anisidine phthalate and of glucosamines with ninhydrin. Also HPLC and medium pressure liquid chromatography.
Chinese J. Pharm. Anal. 9, 18-21 (1989). TLC of essential oils on silica with dichloromethane. Detection by spraying with 2% vanillin in sulfuric acid. Identification by comparison of chromatograms. Also GC/MS.

TLC of sesquiterpenoid phytoalexins on Rhodamine 6G-impregnated silica with ethyl acetate - cyclohexane 1:1, ethyl acetate - toluene 1:9 or cyclohexane and on silver nitrate impregnated silica with benzene - pentane 3:7 or methanol - toluene 1:19. Detection under UV 254 nm or by spraying with vanillin - sulfuric acid reagent. Also radio-TLC. Optimized conditions for the separation of closely related sesquiterpenes.
(Analytical evaluation of garlic preparations.) (German). Deutsche Apotheker Zeitung 129, 2500-2504 (1989). TLC of alliin (S-allyl-L-cystein-sulfoxide) on silica with butanol - acetic acid - water 4:1:1. Visualization by spraying with 0.5% ninhydrin in methanol.
Planta Med. 55, 394 (1989). TLC of quaternary alkaloids on silica with chloroform - methanol - 25% NH3- water 5:3:1:1 and chloroform - methanol - acetone - petrol ether - 25% NH3 30:4:3:4:0.5.
J. of Medicinal Chemistry 32, 2200-2204 (1989). TLC of erythromycin on silica with 9 different solvent mixtures.
J.A.O.A.C. 72, 512-514 (1989). TLC separation of synthetic pyrethroids on silica. Detection by spraying the dry plate with NaOH solution (0.5N NaOH in 90% methanol), than with p-nitrobenzaldehyde solution (0.3 g p-nitrobenzaldehyde in 10 mL methyl cellosolve) and finally with o-dinitrobenzene solution (0.25 g in 10 mL methyl cellusolve). Detection limit 0.1 µg.
