Cumulative CAMAG Bibliography Service CCBS
Our CCBS database includes more than 11,000 abstracts of publications. Perform your own detailed search of TLC/HPTLC literature and find relevant information.
The Cumulative CAMAG Bibliography Service CCBS contains all abstracts of CBS issues beginning with CBS 51. The database is updated after the publication of every other CBS edition. Currently the Cumulative CAMAG Bibliography Service includes more than 11'000 abstracts of publications between 1983 and today. With the online version you can perform your own detailed TLC/HPTLC literature search:
- Full text search: Enter a keyword, e.g. an author's name, a substance, a technique, a reagent or a term and see all related publications
- Browse and search by CBS classification: Select one of the 38 CBS classification categories where you want to search by a keyword
- Keyword register: select an initial character and browse associated keywords
- Search by CBS edition: Select a CBS edition and find all related publications
Registered users can create a tailor made PDF of selected articles throughout CCBS search – simply use the cart icon on the right hand of each abstract to create your individual selection of abstracts. You can export your saved items to PDF by clicking the download icon.
Chromatographia 35, 252-236 (1993). Identification of lactic acid and ascorbic acid by TLC on cellulose with butanol - water- formic acid 6:2:1. Detection by spraying with bromocresol green. Determination of antioxidant synergists and ascorbic acid by reverse-phase HPLC.
J. Planar Chromatogr. 6, 238-241 (1993). TLC of quinoline, isoquinoline, 6-methyl-, 7-methyl-, and 8-methylquinoline on silica or aluminium oxide. Detection with e.g. eosin yellow, bromothymol blue, thymol blue, helasol green, spadns, and titan yellow as 50 mg / 100 mL solution in 2% aqueous sodium hydroxide solution. Best detectability obtained with helasol green.

TLC of phenolic fractions on microcrystalline cellulose with 1-butanol - acetic acid - water 4:1:5, 6% acetic acid, acetic acid - hydrochloric acid - water 30:3:10; after drying observation under log-wave UV, then sprayed with vanillin reagent to detect flavan-3-ols or with a mixture of equal volumes of 2 % K3[Fe(CN)6] + 2% FeCl3 to detect phenolics. Radiolabeled compounds were detected by autoradiography.
J. of Natural Products 57, 665-669 (1994). TLC of alkaloids in crude plant extracts on silica with petrol ether - acetone 2:1, dichloromethane - methanol 95:5 and hexane - acetone 1:1. Detection by spraying with Dragendorff's reagent. Excellent separation of closely related alkaloids.
J. Planar Chromatogr. 7, 22-24 (1994). TLC of surfactants (anionic, cationic, non-ionic, amphoteric) by four-fold development on silica with 1. methanol - 2 N NH3 3:1, 2. THF - acetone 1:9, 3. chloroform - methanol 9:1, 4. chloroform - methanol - 0.1 N sulfuric acid 80:19:1. Visualization by dipping in Dragendorff's reagent. The reliability of the method has been tested for 16 surfactants, for which the Rfs are reported.
