Cumulative CAMAG Bibliography Service CCBS

Our CCBS database includes more than 11,000 abstracts of publications. Perform your own detailed search of TLC/HPTLC literature and find relevant information.

The Cumulative CAMAG Bibliography Service CCBS contains all abstracts of CBS issues beginning with CBS 51. The database is updated after the publication of every other CBS edition. Currently the Cumulative CAMAG Bibliography Service includes more than 11'000 abstracts of publications between 1983 and today. With the online version you can perform your own detailed TLC/HPTLC literature search:

  • Full text search: Enter a keyword, e.g. an author's name, a substance, a technique, a reagent or a term and see all related publications
  • Browse and search by CBS classification: Select one of the 38 CBS classification categories where you want to search by a keyword
  • Keyword register: select an initial character and browse associated keywords
  • Search by CBS edition: Select a CBS edition and find all related publications

Registered users can create a tailor made PDF of selected articles throughout CCBS search – simply use the cart icon on the right hand of each abstract to create your individual selection of abstracts. You can export your saved items to PDF by clicking the download icon.

Comparative analysis of tocopherols by thin-layer chromatography and high-performance liquid chromatography
      B. RUGGERI, T. WATKINS, R. GRAY, R. TOMLINS

      J. Chromatogr. 291, 377-383 (1984). TLC of tocopherols on silica with hexane - isopropylether 85:15 or acetone - benzene - water 91:30:8. Detection with 10 % copper(II)sulfate-phosphoric acid followed by charring at 190" for 10 minutes. Quantitative scanning by absorbance at 350 nm. TLC was found advantageous over HPLC when analyzing a large number of samples.

Photothermal deflection densitometer for thin-layer chromatography
      T. CHEN, M. MORRIS

Anal. Chem. 56, 19-21 (1984) Description of TLC densitometer based on photothermal deflection of an argon ion laser of 20 mW at 488 nm as the source and a 2-MW He-Ne laser as the probe. System demonstrated with a chronatogram of 1,2-naphthoquinone, phenonthrenequinone and -ionone. Detection limit 30 ng -7.5 pg.

      Keywords: densitometry
      Classification: 3f

Modification of the rapid screening method for aflatoxin in corn for quantitative use
      J. SPILMANN

J.A.O.A.C. 68, 453-456 (1985). Quantitative determination of aflatoxins B1, B2, G1, G2 on silica with anhydrous ether, then after drying with chloroform - acetone 9:1. Detection by UV. In situ densitometry.

      Classification: 28b

Separation of ganglioside molecular species, with homogeneous long-chain base composition by reversed-phase thin-layer chromatography
      G. GAZZOTTI, S. SONNINO, R. GHIDONI

      J. Chromatogr. 315, 395-400 (1984). Reversed-phase HPTLC of gangliosides GT 1b, GD 1a, GD 1b, Fuc-GM1, GM1 and AM2 on C18-bonded silica with methanol - acetonitrile - water 196.5:1. Detection by spraying with p-dimethylaminobenzaldahyde reagent and heating at 120 °C for 20 minutes. Quantification by densitometry at 620 nm. The method is rapid and simple to evaluate the long-chain base composition of single gangliosides, also the long-chain base content of gangliosides.

      Classification: 11c

Rapid extraction and sample clean-up for the fluorescence densitometric determination of aflatoxin M1 in milk and milk powder
      J. BIJL, C. VAN PETEGHEM

Anal. Chim. Acta 170, 149-152 (1985). Two-dimensional TLC of aflatoxin M1 on silica with ether - methanol water 95:4:1 in the 1st direction, chloroform - acetone 7:3 in the 2nd direction. Quantitation by fluorescence densitometry. Detection limit 0.005 ng/g for milk and 0.05 ng/g for milk powder.

      J. Liquid Chromatogr. 7, 2711-2718 (1984). Examination of errors contributing to the total variance of automated streaking technique and comparison of these results with computer optimized and zig-zag scanning approaches. The error due to inhomogenous sample distribution is shown to be the most important.
