      High-performance liquid chromatography and thin-layer chromatography for the simultaneous quantitation of rabeprazole and mosapride in pharmaceutical products

Quantitative determination of rabeprazole and mosapride in their combined pharmaceutical dosage forms by TLC on silica gel with ethyl acetate - methanol - benzene 4:1:5. Quantification by densitometry at 276 nm. Linearity was between 400 and 1200 ng/spot for rabeprazole and between 300 and 900 ng/spot for mosaprid, respectively. The limit of detection was 132 ng/spot for rabeprazole and 98 ng/spot for mosapride.

      Determination of acrylamide in drinking water

      CBS 99, 14-15 (2007). HPTLC of acrylamide prechromatographically derivatized with dansulfinic acid on silica gel in a twin-trough chamber with ethyl acetate over 70 mm after focussing with methanol. Detection by dipping in a 25 % solution of propylene glycol in n-hexane. Quantitative determination by fluorescence measurement at 366/>400 nm. Precision (RSD, n=3 at 3 different concentration levels each) was 4.8 % and recovery (by standard addition) was 96 %. Linearity was between 0.1 and 0.4 µg/L. The limit of quantification was 0.08 µg/L acrylamide in drinking water. Comparison with HPLC-MS/MS showed comparable results for acrylamide in ground water.

Quantitative determination by absorbance measurement at 210 nm. The method was linear in the range of 100-1000 ng/spot. Recovery was 99.8-100.9 %.

The method was linear in the range of 500-1500 µg/mL and 100-500 µg/mL for nebivolol hydrochloride and hydrochlorothiazide respectively. Recovery was 99.3-101.9 % for both compounds. The method is suitable for routine quality control.

Linearity was in the range of 100 - 800 ng/spot.
