The Cumulative CAMAG Bibliography Service CCBS contains all abstracts of CBS issues beginning with CBS 51. The database is updated after the publication of every other CBS edition. Currently the Cumulative CAMAG Bibliography Service includes more than 11'000 abstracts of publications between 1983 and today. TLC of metoprolol, propranolol and alprenolol on diol modifyed silica with dichloromethane containing N-carbobenzoxy glycyl-L-proline (ZGP). Scanning is performed by absorbance at 280 nm. To improve the reproducibility the plates were prewashed with dichloromethane and impregnated with water. It was important to keep the amount of water constant.

Prechromatographic in situ derivatization of the samples; dansylation after addition of a saturated aqueous solution of Na2CO3 with 100 µL of dansylchloride in acetone (2.7 mg/mL). Detection and evaluation by densitometry. Easy and reproducible TLC method with high sensitivity for histamine determination.

Detection: After drying, immersion in a 0.05% phenylfluorone reagent solution for 2 s, drying and irradiation with artificial light at room temperature under 40-60 % rel. humidity for 4-6 h, spots become yellow. Visualization under UV 366 nm (bright yellow fluorescence). Quantification by fluorescence at 366 nm. Detection limit 100 ng.

      An o-toluidine method for detection of carbohydrates in protein hydrolyzates

Detection by spraying with o-toluidine reagent and heating for 25 min at 110 °C. Quantification by densitometry at 480 - 630 nm. Detection limits, less than 10 ng. The UV spectrum of each reference sugar was measured.

      Determination of histamine in wines by quantitative HPTLC

Simple, rapid TLC method for accurate and precise quantification of histamine in wine at concentrations above 20 ppm without sample preparation, extraction, clean-up etc.
