Cumulative CAMAG Bibliography Service CCBS

Our CCBS database includes more than 11,000 abstracts of publications. Perform your own detailed search of TLC/HPTLC literature and find relevant information.

The Cumulative CAMAG Bibliography Service CCBS contains all abstracts of CBS issues beginning with CBS 51. The database is updated after the publication of every other CBS edition. Currently the Cumulative CAMAG Bibliography Service includes more than 11'000 abstracts of publications between 1983 and today. With the online version you can perform your own detailed TLC/HPTLC literature search:

  • Full text search: Enter a keyword, e.g. an author's name, a substance, a technique, a reagent or a term and see all related publications
  • Browse and search by CBS classification: Select one of the 38 CBS classification categories where you want to search by a keyword
  • Keyword register: select an initial character and browse associated keywords
  • Search by CBS edition: Select a CBS edition and find all related publications

Registered users can create a tailor made PDF of selected articles throughout CCBS search – simply use the cart icon on the right hand of each abstract to create your individual selection of abstracts. You can export your saved items to PDF by clicking the download icon.

      Quantitative thin-layer chromatography of perbromate
HUYNH THI KIEU XUAN, (Inst. Chem. Miner. Anal., Univ. Lausanne, Cent. Univ., CH-1015 Lausanne, Switzerland)

      J. Chromatogr. 712, 382-389 (1995). TLC on cellulose with butanol - 10% NH3 1:1. Detection by dipping into a solution of 1% soluble starch and 2% KI in 6 M HCl. Quantification by using an imaging documentation system. The concentration ranges for quantification, 0.05 - 1 nmol for KBrO4 and 0.01 - 1 nmol for KBrO3.

Practical application of thin-layer chromatography for detection of polyphosphates in seafood
      J. KRZYNOWEK, L. J. PANUNZIO, (U.S. Dept. of Commerce, Nat. Oceanic and Atmosph. Admin., Nat. Marine Fisheries Serv., Northeast Fisheries Sci. Center, Gloucester Lab., 30 Emerson Ave, Gloucester, MA 01930, USA)

      J. AOAC Int. 78, 1328 - 1332 (1995). TLC of sodium salts of tripolyphosphate, pyrophosphate, phosphate dibasic, and phosphate monobasic on cellulose with isopropanol - propanol - trichloroacetic acid - NH3 - water 200:175:25:1:125. Detection by spraying with molybdenum blue spray reagent. - Exogenous polyphosphates are distinguishable from naturally occurring phosphates; TLC detection of added phosphates can be used as an inspection tool for fresh products and for frozen products stored about 1 year.

      New sorbents in planar chromatography
      V. GHOULIPOUR, S.W. HUSAIN*, (Fac. of Chem., Univ. of Tarbiat Moallem, 49 Mofatteh Avenue, Tehran-15614, Iran)

Separation of inorganic ions on layered double hydroxides. J. Planar Chromatogr. 12, 378-382 (1999). TLC of 26 inorganic cations and 17 anions on layers prepared from layered double hydroxides (LDH; prepared from magnesium and aluminium nitrate) and silica gel with different mobile phases and a wide variety of detection reagents. - A new parameter SRF has been introduced to quantify the separating power of the sorbent.

Analysis of sulfide ions by densitometric thin-layer chromatography and use of TLSee software
      W. CIESIELSKI, K. DYNSKA-KUKULSKA, R. ZAKRZEWSKI*, A. HEKNER (*University of Lódz, Faculty of Chemistry, Department of Instrumental Analysis, ul. Pomorska 163, Lódz, Poland; robzak@chemia.uni.lodz.pl)

      J. Planar Chromatogr. 23, 343-347 (2010). TLC and HPTLC of (derivatized) sulfide ions on silica gel with dichloromethane - methanol - diethyl ether - 25 % ammonia 40:5:5:1 in a horizontal chamber saturated for 20 min. Detection by using the methylene blue method, i.e. production of methylene blue by oxidative coupling of sulfide with N,N-dimethyl-p-phenylenediamine in the presence of iron(III) ions in acidic medium. Quantitative determination by absorbance measurement at 660 nm (method I), or analysis by TLSee software (method II). Response for both was a linear function in the concentration range of 20-100 pmol/zone. The LOD and LOQ were 10 pmol/zone (3.2 mg/L) and 20 pmol/zone (6.4 mg/L). The repeatability of both methods (%RSD) was 1.9-4.2 % for method I and 1.5-3.9 % for method II.

A new chromatographic iodometric method for the separation and determination of iodide and oxyanions
      A. MOHAMMAD*, J.P.S. CHAHAR, E. IRAQI, V. AGRAWAL, (*Anal. Lab., Dept. of Applied Chem., Z. H. Coll. of Eng., Aligarh Muslim Univ., Aligarh-202002, India)

      J. Planar Chromatogr. 13, 12-15 (2000). Examination of the retention behavior of iodide, iodate and periodate on silica gel, cellulose, alumina and kieselguhr with mixtures of 0.1 M NH3 and acetone as mobile phase. Alumina and 0.1 M NH3 - acetone 9:1 was best because it furnished more compact and well-resolved spots of the anions.
