Cumulative CAMAG Bibliography Service CCBS

Our CCBS database includes more than 11,000 abstracts of publications. Perform your own detailed search of TLC/HPTLC literature and find relevant information.

The Cumulative CAMAG Bibliography Service CCBS contains all abstracts of CBS issues beginning with CBS 51. The database is updated after the publication of every other CBS edition. Currently the Cumulative CAMAG Bibliography Service includes more than 11'000 abstracts of publications between 1983 and today. With the online version you can perform your own detailed TLC/HPTLC literature search:

  • Full text search: Enter a keyword, e.g. an author's name, a substance, a technique, a reagent or a term and see all related publications
  • Browse and search by CBS classification: Select one of the 38 CBS classification categories where you want to search by a keyword
  • Keyword register: select an initial character and browse associated keywords
  • Search by CBS edition: Select a CBS edition and find all related publications

Registered users can create a tailor made PDF of selected articles throughout CCBS search – simply use the cart icon on the right hand of each abstract to create your individual selection of abstracts. You can export your saved items to PDF by clicking the download icon.

      I. OJANPERÄ*, P. LILLSUNDE, J. VARTIOVAARA, E. VUORI, (*Dept. of Forensic Med., Univ. of Helsinki, Kytösuontie 11, SF-00300 Helsinki, Finland)

      J. Planar Chromatogr. 4, 373-378 (1991). TLC of amphetamine and 77 analogs on silica and RP-18 silica with toluene - acetone 94% ethanol - 25% NH3 45:45:7:3 and methanol - water 37% hydrochloric acid 50:50:1 resp. Detection by spraying with a filtered 0.5% aqueous solution of FBK, dried briefly with a hot-air blower, sprayed lightly with 0.5M sodium hydroxide solution, dried, and sprayed again with FBK. Detection limit 0.1 µg. All amphetamine derivatives could be readily classified, according to the color of the spots, into primary and secondary amines. The combined use of the chromatographic systems and the color reaction generally enabled differentiation of amphetamine derivatives from other drugs and in most cases from each other.

Detection of cyanobacterial hepatotoxins by TLC
      I. OJANPERÄ*, A. PELANDER, E. VUORI, K. HIMBERG, M. WARIS, K. NIINIVAARA, (*Dept. of Forensic Medicine, P.O. Box 40, FIN-00014 University of Helsinki, Finland)

      J. Planar Chromatogr. 8, 69-72 (1995). TLC and HPTLC of hepatotoxins in aqueous and algal samples on silica and RP-18 with 13 different mobile phase systems. Scanning densitometry at 196 nm, confirmation by multiwavelength scanning. The method described is a rapid and facile test, which can be performed in small laboratories, for screening water sources or blooms for cyanobacterial toxins in a hygienic setting.

TLC detection and identification of heroin (diacetylmorphine) in street samples
V.W. KAMBLE, V.G. DONGRE*, (*Dept. of Chem., Dr. Babaseh Ambedkar Marathwada Univ., Aurangabad-431 004 India)

      J. Planar Chromatogr. 10, 384-386 (1997). TLC of heroin, opium, procaine hydrochloride, alprazolam, diazepam, lorazepam, nitrazepam, oxazepam, mandrax, phenobarbitone and caffeine on silica with chloroform - ethanol 9:1. After drying visualization by spraying with 1% mercuric chloride - 1% potassium ferricyanide 1:1 followed by heating at 80°C for about 5 min. Blue spots for heroin, opiates and procaine; sensitivity for heroin approx. 1 µg. The main metabolites of heroin in biological samples, monoacetylmorphine and morphine, give also a positive reaction.

      C. VIEL, N. GALAND, J. DOLLET, J. POTHIER, (Lab. of Pharmacogn., Fac. of Pharm., 31 avenue Monge, 37200 Tours, France)

Proc. Intern. Symp. on Planar Separations, Planar Chromatography 2001, pp. 309-312. HPTLC of hemp extracts (cannabidiol, cannabinol) and D8THC and D9THC (as standards) on silica gel with ether - hexane 1:4 for normal HPTLC and two gradients (dichloromethane, dichloromethane/hexane 50/50, hexane; 25 steps or diethyl ether, diethyl ether/hexane 50/50, hexane in 20 steps) as mobile phases. Visualization by spraying with Fast blue B reagent (0.5 p. 100 in methanol). The AMD technique gives more information about the composition of different samples of Indian Hemp and opens possibilities to determine the geographic and operation mode of preparation of different samples.
