Cumulative CAMAG Bibliography Service CCBS
Our CCBS database includes more than 11,000 abstracts of publications. Perform your own detailed search of TLC/HPTLC literature and find relevant information.
The Cumulative CAMAG Bibliography Service CCBS contains all abstracts of CBS issues beginning with CBS 51. The database is updated after the publication of every other CBS edition. Currently the Cumulative CAMAG Bibliography Service includes more than 11'000 abstracts of publications between 1983 and today. With the online version you can perform your own detailed TLC/HPTLC literature search:
- Full text search: Enter a keyword, e.g. an author's name, a substance, a technique, a reagent or a term and see all related publications
- Browse and search by CBS classification: Select one of the 38 CBS classification categories where you want to search by a keyword
- Keyword register: select an initial character and browse associated keywords
- Search by CBS edition: Select a CBS edition and find all related publications
Registered users can create a tailor made PDF of selected articles throughout CCBS search – simply use the cart icon on the right hand of each abstract to create your individual selection of abstracts. You can export your saved items to PDF by clicking the download icon.

Introduction of novel software for library searching in planar chromatography, based on corrected Rf values, in situ UV spectral correlation, and spectrum maximum site comparison. TLC and OPLC of 47 drugs on silica gel with toluene - acetone - 94% ethanol - 25% NH3 45:45:7:3 in a saturated chamber for TLC and trichloroethylene - methylethylketone - n-butanol - acetic acid - water 17:8:25:6:4 for OPLC. Evaluation by densitometry at 220 nm.
J. Planar Chromatogr. 15, 414-417 (2002). HPTLC of bifonazole, clotrimazole, fenticonazole, fluconazole, ketoconazole, miconazole, metronidazole, itraconazole on silica gel using acetone - n-hexane, methanol - toluene, and ethyl methyl ketone - toluene as binary mobile phases; the concentration of the organic modifier varied from 10% to 90%. Detection by exposure to iodine vapor.
J. Planar Chromatogr. 16, 246- 248 (2003). TLC of methylenedioxyphenylacetone and (S)-a-methyl-1,3-benzodioxole-5-ethanol on silica gel, prewashed with the eluent, with n-hexane - ethyl acetate 7:3. Quantitation by densitometry at 278 nm. New simple, rapid, quantitative method.
Proc. Intern. Symp. on Planar Separations Plan. Chrom. 191-196 (2003). OPLC and TLC of norethisterone and degradation products (6?-hydroxy-, 6a-hydroxy-, 10-hydroxy-, 17-epi-, 6-ketonorethisterone, and D4-nordione) on silica gel with chloroform - acetone 9:1 for TLC and n-hexane and butyl acetate - chloroform 17:3 for OPLC. Visualization by spraying with 10% ethanolic sulfuric acid solution and heating for 1 min at 120°C. Evaluation of the chromatograms under UV 366 nm. Quantitation by videodensitometry.
J. Planar Chromatogr. 16, 347-350 (2003). HPTLC of beta-adrenoceptor antagonists (e.g. betaxolol HCl, propanolol HCl, celipronol HCl, oxprenolol, carvedilol, metoprolol tartrate, atenolol) on RP-18 with water - acetonitrile and water - dioxane mixtures in different ratios. Visualization under UV 254 nm.
Indian J. Pharm. Sci. 66 (3), 306-308 (2004). HPTLC on silica gel with n-butanol - methanol - 6 M ammonia 5:1:2. Gatifloxacin showed Rf values of 0.47 ± 0.03. Quantitative determination by absorbance measurement at 292 nm. The method was validated in terms of linearity (400-1200 ng/spot), precision (intra-day variation 1.3 to 3.2 %, inter-day variation 3.9 to 5.0 %), accuracy (93.3 to 99.4 %), and specificity. The limit of detection and limit of quantification for gatifloxacin were found to be 10 ng/spot and 50 ng/spot respectively. The method is simple, sensitive, precise, and can be used for the routine quality control testing of marketed tablet formulations (400 mg).
J. Planar Chromatogr. 17, 123-127 (2004). TLC of 5 fibrate-type drugs (bezafibrate, ciprofibrate, clofibrate, clofibric acid, fenofibrate, and gemfibrozil) on RP 18-, RP 8- and cyano-phase in horizontal chambers with chamber saturation with a phosphate buffer and different amounts of six modifiers, i.e. acetone, acetonitrile, dioxane, isopropanol, methanol, and tetrahydrofuran. The best separation of all drugs investigated was obtained with dioxane - pH 7.60 phosphate buffer 7:3. Visualization under UV light at 254 nm. Quantitative determination at 227 nm.
