The Cumulative CAMAG Bibliography Service CCBS contains all abstracts of CBS issues beginning with CBS 51. The database is updated after the publication of every other CBS edition. Currently the Cumulative CAMAG Bibliography Service includes more than 11'000 abstracts of publications between 1983 and today. With the online version you can perform your own detailed TLC/HPTLC literature search:

      Limits of quantification of some neonicotinoid insecticides measured by thin-layer chromatography

HPTLC of neonicotinoid insecticides nitenpyram (1), thiamethoxam (2), acetamiprid (3), imidacloprid (4), thiacloprid (5), and clothianidin (6) on RP-18 with methyl-t-butyl ether - 2-butanone 5:2 + 1 drop ammonia. Quantitative determination by absorbance measurement at 300 nm. The hRf values of (2) to (6) were 25, 42, 53, 55 and 63, respectively. Limits of quantification by UV detection were in the range from 12 ng to 26 ng/zone.

      Qualitative screening for nitrofuran residues in food by planar chromatography

      J. Planar Chromatogr. 6. 319-320 (1993). TLC of nitrofurazone, nitrofurantoin, furaltadone, and furazolidone on silica (with concentration zone) with dioxane - chloroform 1:1. Detection by spraying with pyridine and immediately illuminating with UV light at 366 nm, resulting in the formation of yellow resp. yellow-green spots. Visual comparison against a standard equivalent to the maximum residue level (MRL) set by European countries ( 5 µg/kg).

Good separations with methyl acetate - formic acid 4:1, ethanol - hexane 1:1, acetone - cyclohexane 3:2. Derivatization with iodine vapor and o-tolidine reagent. Detection limit was 1 µg (0,1 ppm).
