The Cumulative CAMAG Bibliography Service CCBS contains all abstracts of CBS issues beginning with CBS 51. The database is updated after the publication of every other CBS edition. Currently the Cumulative CAMAG Bibliography Service includes more than 11'000 abstracts of publications between 1983 and today. TLC separation of organophosphorus and carbamate insecticides (phorate, phosphamidon, DDVP, phosalone, carbaryl, aldicarb) on silica with hexane - acetone 4:1 (after presaturation). Detection by spraying with freshly prepared spray reagent (0.1 g anhydrous zinc chloride and 0.5 g diphenylamine in 100 mL acetone) and heating at 110 °C for 10 min.
J. Chromatogr. 643, 271-290 (1993). Review with 290 references on TLC of pesticide residues in various environmental samples. Presentation of the results from numerous papers in tabular form.
J. Planar Chromatogr. 9, 113-115 (1996). HPTLC of 6 herbicides (diuron, isoproturon, linuron, metoxuron, monolinuron, neburon) on silica by AMD using a 25-step gradient based on acetonitrile - dichloromethane - acetic acid - toluene - hexane. Densitometry at 245 nm (absorbance).
J. Chromatogr. A 754, 279-284 (1996). Study of the effect of soil amendment using urban compost, agricultural organic amendments and surfactants on the mobility of diazinon and linuron by soil TLC on soil plate with water. 14C pesticide detected by radiography. Discussion of the modifications in Rf values due to the addition of the amendments, and of the correlation between the Rf values and the content of total organic carbon in the amended soils, and of the mechanism of the pesticide mobility.
Part IV. (2001) Proc. Intern. Symp. on Planar Separations, Planar Chromatography 2001, pp. 353-354. Determination of relationships between RF values and mobile phase composition for twenty moderately polar pesticides in systems of the type normal- and reversed phase HPLC and TLC. The optimization of the particular separation parameter of HPLC by preliminary experiments with TLC is an obvious step.
Chromatographia 59 (1-2), 121-128 (2004). Relationships between Rf values and mobile phase composition have been determined for urea herbicides and fungicides in normal-phase systems (NP) of the type silica-nonpolar or weakly polar diluent (heptane, toluene, diisopropyl ether) – polar modifier (ethyl acetate, tetrahydrofuran, dioxane, ethyl-methyl ketone and 2-propanol). These relationships constitute a retention database which has enabled to choose optimum systems for preliminary fractionation of a multicomponent mixture of pesticides by zonal micropreparative TLC. The mixture was applied from the edge of the layer in the “frontal + elution” mode which increased the separation efficiency because of displacement effects. The separated simpler fractions were applied to a silica plate and rechromatographed. The plate was videoscanned, furnishing a real picture of the plate showing preliminary separation of the simpler pesticide fractions. Complete separation of the fractions was carried out by two-dimensional thin-layer chromatography on plates with chemically bonded-cyanopropyl silica stationary phase using non-aqueous eluent in the first direction and aqueous reversed-phase eluent in the second direction.
J. Planar Chromatogr. 24, 113-115 (2011). TLC of dichlorvos on silica gel with cyclohexane - acetone - methanol 16:6:1. Detection by spraying with 2 % sodium hydroxide solution and subsequent spraying with 2 % thiobarbituric solution followed by heating at 90 °C for 10 min. The hRf of dichlorvos was 50. The limit of detection was approximately 18 µg/zone. Spectrophometric analysis of dichlorvos was performed by measuring the absorbance of the sample solution. The linearity was in the range of 50-350 µg/mL dichlorvos. On alkaline hydrolysis dichlorvos forms dimethylphosphoric acid and dichloroacetaldehyde; the latter reacts with 2-thiobarbituric acid to give a sharp pink spot. The reagent is selective for dichlorvos, and does not react with other organophosphorus, organochlorine, carbamate, and synthetic pyrethroid insecticides.

Study of the selectivity and sensitivity of some TLC detection systems for visualization of organochlorine and organophosphorus insecticides and thiocarbamate herbicides, and quantification by densitometry. Investigated: silvernitrate-2-phenoxyethanol, 4-(4'-nitrobenzyl) pyridine, 2,6-dibromobenzo-quinone-N-chloroimine and its analogues.
