The Cumulative CAMAG Bibliography Service CCBS contains all abstracts of CBS issues beginning with CBS 51. The database is updated after the publication of every other CBS edition. Currently the Cumulative CAMAG Bibliography Service includes more than 11'000 abstracts of publications between 1983 and today. With the online version you can perform your own detailed TLC/HPTLC literature search:
- Full text search: Enter a keyword, e.g. an author's name, a substance, a technique, a reagent or a term and see all related publications
- Browse and search by CBS classification: Select one of the 38 CBS classification categories where you want to search by a keyword
- Keyword register: select an initial character and browse associated keywords

J. Planar Chromatogr. 4, 392-396 (1991). OPLC of 81 alkaloids with ethyl acetate. Detection under UV 366 nm and after spraying with either Dragendorff’s reagent or iodoplatinate reagent. Quantification by densitometry (absorbance at 540 nm) after spraying with Dragendorff’s reagent.

TLC of ergot alkaloids on silica with ethanol - tetrahydrofuran, ethyl acetate 1:1:8 or water - ethanol - ether 5:35:60 or acetonitrile - ethanol - toluene 85:10:5. Densitometry by absorbance at 250 nm or after spraying with Van Urk´s reagent at 450 nm.
J. Planar Chromatogr. 7, 80-82 (1994). TLC of pyrrolizidine alkaloids (amabiline, thesinine) on silica with dichloromethane - methanol - 25% NH3 79:20:1. Detection by spraying with Mattocks's, with Dragendorff's and with iodoplatinate reagents.
Herb Med. (Zhongcaoyao) 26, 115-117 (1995). TLC of alkaloids on silica with 1) isopropanol - acetone - water 7:3:1, 2) chloroform - methanol - acetic acid 65:25:8. Identification by UV, IR, NMR, MS after elution.
J. Chin. Trad. Med. (Zhongguo Zhongyao Zazhi) 20 (1), 26-30 (1995). TLC of the ingredients of glycyrrhetic acid and paeoniflorin on silica with 1) petrol ether - ethyl acetate - chloroform 10:7:8, 2) chloroform - ether - methanol 10:20:3, 3) chloroform - methanol -ethyl acetate 14:10:3, 4) chloroform - methanol -water 8:3:1, 5) petrol ether - benzene - ethyl acetate - acetic acid 20:40:14:1. Detection by spraying with 2 mol/L sulfuric acid in ethanol, and heating at 105 °C for 5 min., or by exposing to iodine vapor, or by spraying with 10% vanillin in ethanol, or under UV. Quantification of total alkaloids by volumetry, and of glycyrrhetic acid and paeoniflorin by densitometry.
J. High Resol. Chrom. 20, 456-458 (1997). HPTLC on silica with dichloromethane - ethanol - NH3 28% 180:17:3. Quantification by densitometry at 275 nm. Determination limits for caffeine, theobromine, theophylline were 2 µg/mL.
